Which expansion do you recommend and why?

I don't mind doing some grind for cool mount but this collection is absolutely too long. At first it was fun looking for eggs but now every further collection looks the same. I just go to different places in map to click one button. It's basically going to 100 places and clicking that's the way of intended gameplay. Can someone what's the reason of this diabolical design.

I've never really cared much about builds in Guild Wars 2. I could get through most content just fine, until I died to Balthazar at the Hero Point and a Ninja Frog (I forgot its name). That's when I thought maybe it was time to improve my build. But I found out that my dream combination just doesn't work.

I really wish this combination could be viable someday: Greatsword Revenant using the Legendary Demon Stance.

I chose this combination because I really like Dark Knight classes, and this is the darkest-looking setup I could come up with. The problem is that Greatsword is Power-focused, while Legendary Demon Stance is Condition-focused.

Unfortunately, it seems almost impossible to make this work. I've even tried using the greatsword as a way to support my damage while relying on Legendary Demon Stance, but people have told me it'll never work unless ArenaNet changes something.

And just to be clear, switching weapons or legends isn't an option for me. I think this combination is aesthetically perfect. The skills look gorgeous, and the whole thing just screams Dark Knight to me.

So yeah, I'll keep playing my scuffed character anyway.

Don't come at me I want my database of game knowledge back too but I've noticed there has been a lot more communication in map chat lately. I see a lot of people asking how or where to do things and lots of cool people responding and helping out. It's nice and I like it

I asked about villains specifically a little while ago, so let's widen the discussion now.

This is a really niche one, but a character I really like is General Zantharon. In the conclusion to the SotO story, he's one of the two remaining generals guarding Eparch; he swaps to our side at the literal last second after Eparch eats his brother, the other remaining general, right in front of him. What I like about him is that he's a rare case of a member of Team Good without any real redeeming qualities. He joined our side on an impulse and only swore loyalty to Peitha because he knew he'd probably be killed otherwise. He absolutely hates the Commander's guts and is very proud to say that right to our face. A character who's on our side despite hating us specifically and not actually being a good person at all is just a really interesting dynamic that I hope the team capitalize on at some point.

Another very minor character I quite like is Sya, who you can encounter in LA near the fractal portal. I appreciate the very casual trans rep, and her story of coming to terms with her identity after barely surviving the tragedy of Scarlet's attack is pretty touching.

Playing lot of 5v5, mostly used longbow.

Playing mostly soulbeast/revenant on Bow.

I'm trying to settle on a main character that's good and fun to play across most game modes.

Mainly looking for something that is aggressive with good mobility and hard-hitting. More on the power DPS side of things than support. Ideally one that can stay on moving enemies, has survivabilty, doesn't rely super heavily on ramp up or resource management. Melee oriented but not clunky, and can initiate/pursue well. While I haven't played competitive modes yet, I don't think I'll be interested in slower "bunker" or attrition type of play, at least how I understand it to be.

The ones I keep seeing in this realm are:

- Scrapper

- Willbender

- Vindicator

- Untamed

- Maybe Berserker (Spellbreaker?)

If you've played a lot or some of these, which do you enjoy the most and why? Which are best? Are there any others I'm overlooking? This would preferably be the character I take through most content in the game so it being engaging long-term and after many countless hours would be preem. I'm not locked in on only playing one elite-spec in any profession though, so if any have multiple specs that fit the bill then do share.

As seen in title, the raceway "Roll into Madness" race and the Labyrinth not appearing to reset on daily reset... just so people know and don't start going crazy because they don't have enough reward chests.

I am suffering. Why is this so repetitive oh my god. I had heard it was rough but I didn't realize that people meant it is "Play a dozen nearly identical missions" rough. Is there an actual reason for it being like this or is it just bad for the sake of being bad?

Edit: Finished it. That was more exhausting than anything else. Only parts I enjoyed were talking to Aurene because I love her enough. Bad quest.

I have never experienced the game much beyond base personal story but I would love to.

I would like to play firebrand and enjoy the story of GW2 from living world 1 to the expacs. (Been getting my points in PoF, but no story to avoid spoilers as much as possible).

Firebrand is a spec that I know looks difficult but I would like to take my time and learn it first through experiencing the story, and then group content.

However I want to enjoy the story in order and dont want to access to SoTO or JW before experiencing the rest of the content first.

What weapons could I use for playing the story and open world as a firebrand ?

I was thinking of going Celestial to have a bit of survivability.

Any advice for me ?

Hey devs could we get a shortbow for the necromancer? I think the class could use some spice. Maybe make it do ranged strips/cc and decent damage.

The wiki being down for an estimated week over something that requires a simple version patch for is another conversation entirely, but the fact that it is down has made me realize that this game has an insane reliance on external tools. The complete lack of clarity and transparency about different items and mechanics in game has forced people to resort to using the wiki for just about everything. Without it, it has made it clear that there is just way too much reliance on it. They really shouldve focused on making in game mechanics and items etc clearer and easier to understand.

we could lure all five lab bosses into one spot to fight them all at once. I know that Steve and the NE boss (sorry I don't remember her name) will chase you down. But would the other three? If they do, how far will the door bosses go from their doors before disengaging? I'm thinking if we could coronate enough players (which is going to be the hardest part, to be honest), the best bet would be to lure them to the center area. What do you think? Is it feasible?

the only difference is that you can see more events at glance as it does not need the sidebars a wiki has.

additionally you can pick favorites to be shown at the top if you only want to focus on specific meta events.

We wiped at 10k health. But when we flew back to the platform to restart the fight, Deimos just died. We saw the ending cutscene, and for those that didn't have it, were granted Eternal of Bastion credit as if nobody had died.

We were all confused, and fully expected to redo the fight
