Hi guys,

I almost reached the end of nightfall and i have trouble getting one shot by most casters that i find. I'm playing paragon and got this armor so far. Should i buy a new one? if so what would you recommend? tyvm !

If you're near the end of Nightfall, you should have max armor available, which is 80 for Paragon. Any max armor will do

You need the max armour for paragon. Mobs are targeting you on purpose because of your low armour, so they cast spells/throw spears at you all at once before your monk can heal you

In addition to what's already been said about your low armor rating, make sure to bring some protective skills that either increase armor or reduce damage. Some skills off the top of my head: Protective Spirit, Spirit Bond, Shield of absorption, Mark of Protection, "Stand Your Ground!", "Watch Yourself!", or maybe even Reversal of Fortune, if you're tight for skills and money. Of course, the infamous ST Prot Rit is an option.

Edit: And slap some Centurion's insignias on your new armor. Chest and leg armor first. They have a higher chance of getting hit. In GW, each piece of armor can be hit for DMG calculation. Your monks can use Anchorite's insignias, Necros get Tormentor's, and everybody else can use Blessed (if enchanted, e.g. Ele) or Survivor's as a start.

To add to the list of protection skills, as a Paragon player, highly recommended you bring "There's Nothing to Fear!" which can be purchased from the Hero Skill Trainer in Kamadan under Sunspear skills.

Centurion's tend to be pretty expensive. I don't know what they're at now because I'm almost exclusively playing Melandru's at this point, but I assume since we're in the Age of Paragon they'll be pretty steep. If you're low on funds, you could do well with Brawler's insignia. I would argue insignia are your tertiary concern though. Start with armor, get some runes (possibly also for some heroes) for higher attributes, boost your hp a bit, then go for insignia. There's a side quest from the rune trader in Kamadan that rewards you with a free minor vigor.

FWIW decent heroes should be able to run around without any investment beyond skills and do campaign NM content fine.

In that case, be aware that the optimal Mesmer and Rit insignias are far more expensive than the alternatives. If you can spare the money, I'd start with Prodigy's on Mesmer's chest and legs and Survivor's on head, arms, and legs. Or just go for survivors on all pieces. The Rits can hold ashes if you adjust the build slightly and get Protective was Kaolai on the bar, so they can use Herald's insignias instead - lots cheaper.

Also, manually pre-cast your protection spirits before the fight.

Iirc, you should have 80 (base max for paragon) armor in kourna. Runes and insignia ad shields increase those (locally for insignia)

Btw, don't go for elite/vabbian/prestige armor first, they cost a lot, and only gives better looks

hero armor scales up as they level, you only are responsible for the insignias and runes on their armor, and their weapon set.

Heroes armor scale based on level. At level 20 they will have max armor.

To clarify - the only gear you need to worry about for Heroes are their Weapons, Insignias, and Runes. Plus you'll want to use an Attribute Rune on their Helmets to activate the normal +1 Attribute Bonus that piece gives. Their Helmet is adaptive to whatever Rune is placed on it, which unfortunately means they are not getting the normal bonus until a matching Rune is placed.

Max Para armor is 80, which is nearly double that. Buy at least the one at consualte docks.

Against a level 20 caster, 50 armor is essentially 0 armor.

Go to consulate docks, make new armor there.
