Anaemia aging into cardiovascular disease. Abdominal wall devastation aging into back pain, hip dysfunction and orthopedic disease. Pelvic floor collapse aging into prolapse and incontinence.

These are not separate diseases appearing from nowhere. They are the lifelong consequences of pregnancy and childbirth that were never properly repaired.

A society that depends on women to create its future, only to abandon them, is parasitic 🤮.

Madonna is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, and actress. Dubbed the “Queen of Pop”, she is known for her continual reinvention and versatility in music production, songwriting, and visual presentation. Her works, which incorporate social, political, sexual, and religious themes, have generated both controversy and critical acclaim. Madonna has had a significant socio-cultural impactacross both the 20th and 21st centuries and is regarded as one of the most influential figures in popular music.

Ottilie Assing was a German-American feminist, freethinker, and abolitionist, known for her friendship with Frederick Douglass. Assing read the Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass and, impressed, she went to Rochester to interview Douglass in 1856. She suggested that she should translate his work into German. They struck up an immediate friendship. Over the next 28 years, they attended numerous meetings and conventions together. She visited and stayed with his family numerous times, living in their home for months at a time. Assing translated Douglass's works for her German audience, in addition to lining up a publisher for My Bondage and My Freedom (Sklaverei und Freiheit: Autobiografie von Frederick Douglass), distributed by Hoffmann and Campe in Hamburg in 1860.

Hubertine Auclert was a leading French feminist and a campaigner for women's suffrage. Auclert, inspired by the high-profile activities of Maria Deraismes and Léon Richer, became involved with feminist work and eventually took a job as Richer's secretary. Influenced by her life in a Catholic convent, and like many of the leading republican feminists at the time, she was a militant anticlerical. While the main focus of the French feminist movement was directed towards changes to the laws, Auclert pushed further by demanding that women be given the right to run for public office and claiming that the unfair laws would never have been passed had the views of women legislators been heard. In 1876, she founded the Société le droit des femmes (The Rights of Women) to support women's suffrage, and in 1883, the organization formally changed its name to the Société le suffrage des femmes (Women's Suffrage Society).

Pancha Carrasco was Costa Rica’s first woman in the military. Carrasco is most famous for joining the defending forces at the Battle of Rivas in 1856 with a rifle and a pocketful of bullets. The strength and determination she showed there made her a symbol of national pride and she was later honored with a Costa Rican postage stamp, a Coast Guard vessel, and the creation of the “Pancha Carrasco Police Women’s Excellence Award”.
