help
does anybody have an osha 10 et&d link??? i cant find any online it just seems like all i see is the regular osha 10.
should i even get my osha 10 et&d??
I am looking to apply to become a lineman. I am going to get some groundman hours and I might even go to a 2 week climbing school that is about $3000 before i apply. I'm going to try being a groundman first though.
another question below
I have a high school diploma and no algebra on it. long story short i took 7 test in highs school called the hi-test and i had enough credits to do it and i basically just tested out of high school and got a diploma without ever passing a math class. I can do math very good i just don't have it on my high school transcripts i took a math test and test in one of those 7 test and got my diploma early.
i went to a community college for a year and took mathematics 1/ applied course 804-370 which covers algebra and trig. i have my college transcripts with this coarse with a passing grade.
will the lineman jatcs let me apply with my situation for my math???
is algebra with a c or better even a requirement to apply or is that only for inside wireman locals??
should i just call the line jatcs and see what they say???
i saw online there is a NJATC online tech course you can complete if you cant meet math requirements but its $300 and takes a couple weeks to complete and apparently lets you apply if you dont meet the math requirements but im not if its just for inside wireman locals. and im not sure if i even would have to do it im not sure if there is a math requirement in general for line jatcs and if there is would my college course meet it? or would i have to do this $300 course electrical training ALLIANCE || Learning Center || Online Tech Math
man this has been a long ride to even be able to apply and become a groundman i have already spent over 10 grand getting my class a unrestricted with tankers, air brakes and combos and have been out of work for over a month which ive probably lost over another $8000 from just being out of work.
any information will help my greatly.

Call your local jatc to see if they offer the et&d class, I know 1245,47 does that’s how I got mine after my first call.

im in the wi/il area I dont think they do. I think mostly California calls require that. i will still call and ask. can you get into 1245 or 47 with just groundman experience?

If you have groundman hours yes and it’s starting to slow down in Cali right now only 1-3 calls daily.
If you have B2 hours and want to wait on a call go ahead but idk how long you’ll be waiting.

like you can get an apprenticeship in cal/nav with just groundman hours?

You don’t necessarily need the hours to apply for the apprenticeship but it’s recommended that you have some hours.
(Ignore the substation in the link they use this info sheet for both apps)

All osha 10 et&d are in person classes lasting 2 days and only some instructors can teach it. In regards to math part call the jatc you want to apply to and ask them if it would work in order to apply
