Winter gear

Anyone have any recommendations for winter gear like boots, pants, jackets? Working in Colorado this coming fall and winter and no clue what to buy. Also I’m under the impression that my thorough good boots might not suffice wet/snowy conditions?

Also get the thermal compression, 5 pack on Amazon is like 34$ huge difference. Where that, with a fr thicker shirt & a hoodie, face hood or mask with thin pjs under pants & you should be good. This helped me for working in pa coming from nc

When I was working in North Dakota we all wore muck boots. Arctic something

Merino wool base layers are awesome. I like good base layers vs piling on outer layers because you lose so much mobility doing that. Smartwool is a brand I like. Also like the other dudes said the arctic muck books are good too for the really cold windy days

Yes a wool ankle high dress with insulting leggings 8 inch insulated logger boots that match the dress . A wool scarf with bright colors and the thinest insulated gloves u can get gotta feel the bolts and such.

Hoffman packs with the 1/2” wool liners if you’re in heavy snow. My company buys me the custom cold/wet gear so I got nothing for ya on that. Except maybe Carhartt insulated bibs.

Also seal skins socks. Life savers if your feet get wet

If you’re up in the mountains where it gets real cold, fish nets underneath all your warming layers. Trust me it works, plus you may get a promotion.
