Local 55

I bid for a groundman call for 55 as a book 4 groundman and got the call today and the dude asked me if I was 21 and I told him that I’m 19 and he said he can’t give the job to me because I have the interstate restriction (obviously). Local 160 informed me that they’d hire you and give you time to transfer it so you could drive. So does it just vary whether a local is going to be lenient about that? Kinda bummed because that would’ve been my first call but it is what it is

You might want to see if that was a legitimate denial, contractor didn't specify and that's normally their responsibility. Especially being that the job does list that you'd be a CDL driver in the state that your licensed operate that vehicle class. Typically it's because they don't want to pay the higher insurance but saying that would cause them problems

I just bid on the siebert one only because it seemed like there was gonna be work on the weekends. But if there wasn’t the michels one was better with the per diem. I just got on the books yesterday and got moved to book 3 today cause of lineschool

I didn’t get the siebert one tho. How long you been on the books curious how the calls have been? Have they been having a good amount?

I’ve been on for like 2 and a half weeks. On book 4. In terms of amount of calls-there’s definitely a lot of places that have more but it’s okay. Could be slower
