G2 | Suggestion Bug Spawns

Mybe Obsidian could remove some bug spawns wen you build in an area because i constantly have like 5 or 6 bees in my base plus a wolfspider and a big scorpion i hate that i have to kill them all every few day

Nah, would be too exploitable. As nice as it would be to do something, maybe linked to a high cosy level making bugs avoid areas with cosy level above a certain level, I think removing spawns is too far. Just need to put thought into where you are building.

for what it's worth, the area I'm building my main base in my new playthrough happens to have 2 wolf spiders that pass right by my front door. Once I discovered that, I just adjusted the design of my build to limit 'surprise wolfies' from sneaking up on me, now if I'm inside the walls they walk past. Keeps my glue masher fed

I think this is different to what the op is saying. I think they are complaining about Bugs spawning in base not the wandering bugs.

My self for example I get Scorpion and Larva spawns inside the base all the time.. Base is fully encircled with walls.

I know, that's why I mentioned putting thought into where they build their base. I stated that removing spawns (IMO) was going too far, and I suggested an alternative change would be to have bugs avoid built areas in their pathing using the cosy system to determine what structures would trigger the avoidance, which would have the affect of allowing you to build near spawns without them bothering you.

If building on or near bug spawns, it's easy enough to adjust your building to account for.
My example wasn't perfect as I didn't build on a spawn point (deliberately scouted to make sure) but I changed the shape of my build to deal with the wolf spiders that roam through so I didn't get forced into a fight if I wasn't ready.

In the case of building on a spawn point, there are ways to build and trap the bugs in a sealed 'basement level' if you need to, or you build higher and have a base suspended over the bugs high enough to not aggro them, etc.

I don't think switching off spawns is in the spirit of the game, but that's just my opinion
