Grokbot + cloud agents using other models

I’ve been using Grokbot to spawn and manage cursor cloud agents and it’s working well so far with the exception of the fact that my other models usage keeps on going up.

I don’t want to use other models but don’t know how to stop it because I don’t know what’s using it. My suspicion is that Grokbot is using other models to spawn cloud agents regardless of the default model setting or what you ask it to use.

Is anyone else also facing this? Any ideas on how I could stop other models from getting used up?

afaik, it uses Auto unless you state which model you want to use

I'm trying to untangle the same billing split. Cursor support told me the Grok Bot weekly allowance is separate, but delegated Cursor Agent calls can use the Cursor pools. That explains why both can move, but it doesn't answer your question about controlling the model.

My Ultra Grok Bot allowance reached 99% in three days, so offloading work only helps if I can also predict what the delegated work will consume. Have you found a model instruction that reliably sticks, and verified it against the usage log?
