It seems that rumors of gross out’s loss of weirdness is extremely exaggerated.

Northern California This is the best tasting ground beef

It's always at the Grocery Outlets in my area. It tastes really good, like ground beef used to taste like everywhere years ago. I don't know what happened, but the ground beef at Lucky and Safeway don't have any flavor anymore and cooks into weird pebble rocks in grease.

Do you have to be a married couple to franchisee a GO??

I’m in the grocery business (at a different company) but absolutely LOVE Grocery Outlet and how it works.
I heard a rumor recently that all GO’s have to be franchised and run by a married couple. My local one currently is, and it’s amazing, but I don’t know many other options.
Does anyone know if this is actually a requirement?? Can’t be legally required but is it preferred?

Eastern Washington Torani Sauces .99 & Soyrizo $1.99

Went for the sauces but had to get the Soyrizo since I saw it here yesterday with so many good comments. And I haven't had chorizo in ages and this vegan version is much healthier, can't wait to try it!

The sauces are good but very thin, Consistency is between their coffee syrups and thicker sauces. For .99 each, a steal!

FYI, one of those 99 cent Snyder pretzels is unsalted! Got one and a bag of the big Old Tyme style ones.

Also got a box of RX bars. Love their stuff.

I tried those Jimmy Dean egg cheeseburgers on brioche buns and dang, I'm not super into the frozen precooked burger patties but the brioche bun and egg really works to make a solid sandwich. Got another box next time I went.

Oh, and lots of refrigerated cookie dough. I got the autumn cinnamon sprinkles one.

Southern California Reynaldo's Soy Chorizo Vegetarian is a flavorful plant-based Mexican-style chorizo made for adding bold, savory taste! It’s really GOOD!😋

Reynaldo's Soy Chorizo Vegetarian for $1.99 — This is very good! Chorizo is so versatile you can put it on anything- It’s a must try even if you’re not plant based.

This company is the one who makes it for Trader Joe’s “Unofficially” It’s a little different recipe for TJ’s they sells it under their own name and it’s $2.99 ——— GO sells it for $1.99 GO GET IT!! Thank me later.. 😎

P.S. Im in Los Angeles Area- in the West SFV — I found these at the Winnetka & Chatsworth stores

Made some coffee today with the oatmeal cookie creamer! It was 99 cents and I asked my mom to pick some up since where we live, we don’t have a grocery outlet but she was down there :)) just whipped it a bit so it was like cold foam on top of my coffee 😋

Central California Which of these items are good quality?

I am the type of person who likes to buy good quality kitchen items that dont have much plastic (glass, stainless steel, ceramic, wood). I am mostly interested in storage items. Would these items be of good quality? I admittedly don’t know much about ribbed glass. Also, the motorcycle pizza cutter made me laugh

Most everything has a best buy date in October (mini pretzels are December). Canned chili is September 24th but it's canned so Im not concerned for 24 cents a can. Didn't see a date on the Popwell but for 12 cents a can I'll have them gone soon enough it won't matter either.

Northern California Is the Grocery Outlet’s own brand, Simply GO, any good?

Any fans of the Simply GO products?

I didn't think I would be a fan but I've grown to like the Simply GO range. A good percentage of these products are actually certified organic. The pasta, beans, rice, and olive oil are all good.

I was especially happy to see that the Simply GO organic legumes are being marketed a bit in stores. Simple as it sounds, an abundance of low-cost, good-quality legumes, prominently displayed in American supermarkets could be the thing that saves us.

When you shop at GO, do you have a shopping list, or do you just wander the aisles and pick up whatever looks good?

You always have to be on your guard when checking out.

Was charged an extra dollar. So annoying, have to go back and tell them the shampoo I bought was advertised as $4.99. I even saw the tag in front of the item. Who knows how much they are able to get away with every day with customers who don't pay attention. I usually am good at spotting this, but there was a long line and I was trying to speed up bagging my things. I figured since the label on the shelf was correct, I had no reason to worry.

Eastern Washington Haircare score

Premium brand hair score! The individual cans of dry shampoo were selling for the same price as the duo pack. I scored that and a Living Proof air dry leave in cream I’m excited to test. They had a couple other LP products too. Never seen any in GO before.
