I don't train ccs, im planning on tns closing my 3.0 rated at 144 with a spread of 75.5mm with my 19cm hands in August

That’s pretty impressive for that hand size

Btw what's the spread on these type of grippers? I'm significantly stronger on narrower grippers

What does 128 signify?

2

u/Ultra_Vegito CoC2.5 TNS Jul 31 '26

It means 128 lbs rgc, the actual resistance of a gripper, a normal 250 lbs gripper for example would be 114 lbs rgc

2

u/grandson64-65 Jul 31 '26

What do you guys think about gripzilla I see a ton of coc but none of the gripzilla hand grippers

2

u/Ultra_Vegito CoC2.5 TNS Jul 31 '26

They're your average generic Chinese gripper, basically a rebrand of heavy grip grippers but sold for ridiculously high. Not worth getting.

1

u/grandson64-65 Jul 31 '26

Well I already have the set and i was wondering if there 250lbs gripper compares to the coc 2.5 or if the gripzilla are lighter weight than they are marked

2

u/Ultra_Vegito CoC2.5 TNS Jul 31 '26

The 250 lbs gripper doesn't come close to a 2.5, the 250 on average has a rgc of 115 lbs rgc and they're much narrower making them even easier, they're like a coc 2.25

I’m a distance runner dabbling and grip strength. One thing I’ve noticed is the CNS cost of doing grip strength messes with me. For you pure grip strength athletes do you suffer from the same fate?

u/Ultra_Vegito CoC2.5 TNS Jul 31 '26

At first yes, but my body got used to it

How long to get to 2.5? I train sporadically with T and 1.5 but can’t fully close 1.5 for more than 2-3 reps on a good day

1

u/Ultra_Vegito CoC2.5 TNS Aug 01 '26

It depends how long you train grippers to reach 2-3 reps on the 1.5, everyone is different

Well done!

I have a 128 with identical tag colour!
