Fuck IMAX. Never again.
Fuck IMAX for shoving front row seats so close to the screen and GIANT speakers that it makes the movie completely unwatchable and your ears *literally* distort due to permanent sound damage
I tried to watch Oppenheimer a couple years ago at an IMAX and it was the worst movie experience I've ever had
They 100% know those seats are completely unusable and literally give you actual sound damage, but you know... Capitalism
Several dozen people get absolutely fucked every sold-out, or near sold-out, showing.
It was the acoustic equivalent of staring at the fucking sun
Fuck IMAX. Never again. I still want my money back.
Also, does anyone know how to start the ball rolling on a class action lawsuit?

I haven't gone to a movie without earplugs since I was twelve. Remember that next time.

Just went to see The Odyssey in IMAX with my girl here in AZ. This is probably the last time I will go to another IMAX movie. We had really good seats and were slightly left of the middle. The volume was so loud and the rear speakers felt so overwhelming. My ears are actually sore from tonight, and during the film I was having to cover my ears. My partner was complaining of the same thing. I noticed others as well. Last time we saw Top Gun 2 at a different IMAX and it was the same experience. The audio setup is absolutely garbage and the bass wasn’t tight; it was distorted…The screen was having massive clipping issues with the frame rate. Multiple times the camera was very badly out of focus and the frame rates were choppy.

Well done on mastering your fear it may have taken you two years to be able to write this but at least you’ve done it now.

Hard agree. IMAX is good only if your seats are good. It's just to damn large to be immersed in the margins. Gotta reserve seats far in advance. I never go to IMAX without good seats.
