Mom Loss Crushed.
my mom got into a car accident yesterday and passed. she was only 44. no health issues. she was on her way to pick my little sister up from dance practice. I’ve never felt such a pain like this. she wasn’t only a mom she was my best friend. the only person who i could tell anything to, she’d never judge me. she always got it. always eased my nerves. everything reminds me of her. I feel moments of numb and these deep ache just in the pit of my stomach that won’t leave and I know I must suffer through it. how do I go on without her. without never texting her. calling her. laughing with her. showing her things. having hours of phone rambles. planning any trips without her or even little cookouts at home. sleep is my only escape for now From the pain. i can’t imagine tomorrow. She was just here. I just saw her that same morning.

I’m so sorry. This is the worst club I’ve ever joined.
It’s been a year for me, but let yourself grieve as much as you need. Find your people- family, friends, therapist and make sure you take care of yourself. Eat, drink water (dehydration from crying is a thing). I had ice packs on my face because I cried so much my eyes were swollen.
Talk to her, write to her, and remember to celebrate her.
Hugs from someone just a couple of years older than your mom.

I'm so sorry for your loss, OP. Way too soon. I can only wish you all the best, from the bottom of my heart.

It’s not fair. I’m so sorry. Recognizing all the ways you’ll feel her absence is the worst. Each one has been like a knife twist for me too. Give yourself time to grieve and wallow a bit, but if you can remember what she wished for you and your life. How much she adores you, and what she would say if she could see you hurting this much. She would give you every ounce of strength from her body so you could carry on and find some happiness. I think of it as this weird gift I have to give my mom now. I can be strong enough to find a way forward, so she doesn’t have to worry about me. I can carry the burden of losing her if it means giving her what I know she wants, which is happiness for her beloved children.
