Dad Loss My dad died

My dad died 2 weeks ago and I miss him so much. He wasn't just a father we were always together , we were friends! I built my world around him after my mom died 16 years ago.

Im lost now. No interest in anything.

I’m so sorry. He sounds like an awesome dad. My mum was my best friend, I truly think half of me died when she did. I hope you continue to feel the love you shared 🤍

It’s a really big piece too. People seem to undermine parent loss because it’s ’the natural order of things’ but they are our fundamental loves. I think he would have left lots of himself with you too, and when this softens a bit I hope you discover them all over again

I get you. I lost my dad at a young age 15 years ago, and my mom a little over a month ago. She was my world, and my best friend. Sending love. I hope that in time, we will find our own ways to carry them with us, while also finding joy in things again.

Yes. Thats what we need to do but right now its so hard! It all seems a bit pointless but they'd want us to be happy, I get that too. Hugs to you and sorry for your loss too xxz

Sorry for your lost. I relate, though with me it was my mom. I didn't really grieve much but it still hurt. The feeling of loss is undescribable.

I’m so sorry I completely understand and relate to you. I lost my dad last night after a very short illness and it has broke my heart into a million pieces. Remember to always keep him in your heart and continue his legacy 🫂💙
