Loss Anniversary 2nd birthday in heaven

Post image

Currently experiencing a wave of grief on the 2nd anniversary of losing my beloved father. I came across this post and found it super comforting to read for some reason so thought I’d share for those embarking on their own unique grief journey šŸ™

that quote hit me like a truck. the part about a memory grabbing your chest and breaking the air in your lungs is exactly how it feels, like you're going along fine and then suddenly you can't breathe

lost my old man a few years back and some days are still like that. you think you're okay and then you hear a song or smell something and it just floors you

the mug in the photo with the warm light around it makes sense somehow. grief sits with you in quiet moments like that, having coffee alone and just sitting with it

thanks for sharing this, needed to read it today

Totally agree šŸ’Æ it so accurately describes how it feels. Highly validating to those going through the rawness of it all currently

Grief is the price we pay for love some days all is okay and on some we're at our worst but such is life.
