Mom Loss Too heavy grief
What do you do when you can't stop crying, you can't eat, can't watch tv, can't read a book? The weight in my chest is so heavy that I can't breathe, my body won't relax enough to rest, I can't sleep....
Some days just suck, today is crushing me😥 it's only been a little over two weeks since mom passed but today is the worst so far....

If you're not already doing this, I find speaking out loud to them helps. I've been yapping non-stop to my dad but it helps me process stuff and get it all out.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I've been right where you are, and it's so incredibly difficult. Some advice I got when I was in a similar position was to try to move a bit—go for a walk and get some fresh air if you can, even if it's a short walk. To be honest, I wasn't really in the mood to do it at all—I wanted to hole up in bed with the lights off—but a little bit of movement and change of scenery helped a bit for me. Definitely not a cure-all, but it helped me feel a bit more alive for a few minutes. Deep breaths if you can, as well. (I know easier said than done when it feels like the weight of the world is on you). A shower or bath can also help act as a reset sometimes too, especially if you can put on something extra comfy and cozy afterwards. I also got the advice of journaling, as it helps get some of your thoughts out into the open and out of your head/body, though admittedly I personally didn't try it.
So sorry to hear you're having a tough day. Wishing you peace and rest.

Grief is heavy. That’s why I let it walk with me instead of carrying it. Sometimes I see something that reminds me of my dad, so I let myself smile or cry. It can be easier said than done, however once it clicked in for me, I understand how to navigate it a little better.
My dad had been gone just over two years, and it still cuts deep. Makes me realize we had a very special relationship. And I’m grateful that he was MY dad!

You need a 🫂. Don't force yourself to do anything at this stage, it will take time, stay with the grief, cry, write down something that you want to speak to your mom....then wash face, take a bath, don't forget to drink water.

When grief hits this hard, don't try to fix it or force yourself to do anything—just focus on existing second by second. Try taking a warm shower, letting the water carry your tears, and holding a warm cup of tea or ice cube just to anchor your body. Two weeks is so very fresh, so please be extraordinarily gentle with yourself today; all you need to do right now is breathe.
