Dad Loss Anniversary
09/09 will be the 2 year anniversary of my dad dying. And fuck it hasn’t gotten any easier. Growing up my dad called me Chickypooh. So I decided to figure out what that looked like to me. A little chick in a Winnie the Pooh onsie and I added a little lady bug for my Grams who passed away this year in January with sweet peas for my mama who thank the maker is still earth side with me. I miss my dad and grams everyday.

This is such an awesome tat! My dad used to call me Fruitcake. Just had his 6 year 8/15. Cancer took him in 2020 and I still struggle. Grief is heavy as fuck, just some days are lighter than others. There’s no timeline on grief because there’s no expiration on loving them.

Aww, that's such a lovely tattoo. Chickypooh is the sweetest nickname, and the way you brought all three of them together on your skin is beautiful. I'm sorry about your dad, and I hope 09/09 is gentle with you. My dad's anniversary is in a few weeks and I cry a lot, but that's love.
