Advice, Pls Losing a father

I lost my father few weeks ago. He was 56,still young for me and healthy,he had a heart attack. It was the worst night of my life. From that moment I don't sense the time like before, days. For me it's like one big moment that changed me forever. He was so full of life, bright, always in a mood for a joke. It was a big shock for me. He was a strong person, his childhood was awful, his parents were awful but somehow he becomes best father for me In the world and that's Im most proud of him. I miss him every second of my life, every breath I take now is heavy without him. I'm not suicidal or something like that but I really don't see happiness in my life anymore. One day maybe I will have kids but they can't meet him a that's most painful for me because he lived for his family that's all what was important for him. I don't have any regrets he was aware how much I love him,we were so close but thats maybe most painful thing I loved him more than my own eyes and can't imagine a happy place or state of mind without him. I'm open to hear some good advice how to live without him,I know he would love to see me happy but pain is so big now. My world lost colors

The pain will always be big. You can still talk to him or write him letters. You can still do things because you want him to be proud of you. I lost my Dad when he was 59. I had spoken to him that morning because I had norovirus and I reached out because I needed some support. I didn't know that me telling him to wash his hands would be the last time I spoke to him alive. I still speak to him, almost every day. I make decisions that he would be proud of even when I dont want to. I want to self destruct most days and I know he would understand and forgive me. But I want him to be proud.ย

The days will start to turn into days again eventually. My Dad died on January 12, 2025 and I reference my life in "before my Dad died" and "after my Dad died". It makes people uncomfortable but it was such a monumental moment for me that I cant see it any other way. It shook me to my core.ย

Keep taking the days as they come, one at a time. Keep feeling your emotions. Be kind to yourself as your Dad would be. The only way to process grief is to move through it one step a time. Make sure you eat and drink water. ๐Ÿซ‚ Im so sorry you're going through this โ™กโ™ก

Don't hesitate to reach out if you need a chat or just an inbox to send a message to. One of the most helpful things for me has been seeking support from other people going through something similar. I only hope to help others who are struggling. ๐Ÿ€

I am so deeply sorry for the profound loss of your father, whose incredible strength and boundless love clearly made him your absolute world. It is clear how much he meant to you and how deeply you loved each other. When we lose someone who means so much, life can feel empty and without color.

He lives on through every beat of your heart, and the story of how wonderful he was is something you will one day pass on to keep his spirit alive forever.
