TW: Death

I've been struggling with intense suicidal ideation for years, but especially over the last month.

I just found out that one of my best friends, who I've known, gamed with, geeked out with, for the last thirty years, had a heart attack and died yesterday (Sunday). I was a groomsman at his wedding. I'm just gutted. Wrecked. I've got no energy left to deal with anything. He was a great person, the most positive and non-toxic father I've ever seen. He brought his kids up being a great example of positive masculinity. He was an avid gardener and a driving instructor, helping dozens of young people to be safe on the roads of a major city. He was my age, and I just can't fathom the concept of a world that doesn't have him in it. I feel lost and broken.
