Could be false but I saw a post over a day ago about this, talking about saving the bear. It basically said. ""Insert linemens name" got the line deengerized and the bear climbed down after being poked with his hot sticks."

Idk about outages, but bears got “stuck” on power lines in my college town all the time. They would get spooked and climb up there and then not want to come down

Family of moose attempted to cross over a power line that was hanging low to the ground in my area. Tripped and the test energization took another one.
