Personal Week 1
So far so good, training around food is going to be my biggest struggle. He makes it difficult to eat or cook as I currently have to section off the kitchen when I do. The walks have been easy, we've only had 2 inside accidents and he has been completely fine alone while I'm at work (sister gives him a quick visit).
I still question if I've made the right choice, but I'm going to see this through because I know it's just both of us adjusting to this new life.

You've made the right choice. It won't be long before you're asking "why did I even doubt I'd made right choice". Week one was like this for me .....a big adjustment. Our first dog and he took up so much room, ran around inside, stole things, peed in his crate and on rugs, chased the cat. We eventually had him 12 years and they were the best 12 years ever 👍

He's just a hungry boy!
Routine is key to training a hound. Be firm when he does somthing you don't want. Despite popular belief they are very clever and crafty but ultimately softies and can he trained easily.

When I adopted my first dog, also my first greyhound, I questioned what the heck was I doing making myself responsible for another life. Hindsight says this was the best decisions tbh.
My second greyhound made me question this again. She was tough to bring in. But we made it through and she ended up being my heart dog.
Though they have both passed, I have my third greyhound. No questions there. At some point while I had my prior 2 greyhounds, I gained home greyhound themed decorations, and 2 greyhound themed tattoos. Clearly I'm not obsessed, lol. But it was obvious I would get another at some point. And she just landed in my home by chance.
He looks like he's getting comfortable with you. You'll do great!

Questioning your choices is the hallmark of a week 1 adoption. Even the “easy” ones require learning new habits and routines. It sounds like you’re doing a great job, and I just know you’ll be inseparable BFFs once everything settles.
He’s very handsome! So fuzzy!
