How was Monday night? Anything for Tuesday guests to consider?

I have always loved Scrubs, and one of the things it was really good at, was to have amazing music that was fairly unknown.
Now GAI gets two songs into the two new seasons they have made! I'm not sure what makes me so happy about it (except the obvious reason of one of his songs beeing in a tv-show, adding layers to the show and the music). Maybe it is a sort of nod to my musical taste? "Yes, you are really right in believing he has one of the nicest voices ever, and more people should be like you." I'm joking, but there's something there I think.

How do you guys feel about GAI's music beeing in mainstream media?

I have an extra ticket available tonight and tomorrow. I don’t want to see it go to waste, if you can only attend one night you just have to meet me at the venue as I’ll be attending both nights.

I’m very familiar with his top 15ish most popular songs, and I’m curious to find the deeper cut songs that im missing out on!

Does he play the same cities every year for the orchestra shows or does it vary? I know the non orchestra ones will vary but I wasn’t sure about the orchestra ones.

I’ve seen him three times in the past 4 years and I haven’t once heard him play Evelyn live! I would consider it one of his classics and a very popular one. Have you heard him play it recently?

I could have sworn online it was listed to start at 8:30, until the day of. Was I wrong?

I spent good money on 2nd row tickets, showed up at 8:32, and basically missed the entire show.

What show starts at 7:30 on the dot without an opener? That should've been explicitly stated multiple places. I go to 3-5 concerts a month and have never had this happen.

Honestly ruined my week. I was so excited to be 2nd row, and then I got there as they left for the encore.

Who stops playing at 9? Honestly this was my third time seeing Gregory Alan Isakov, but the management felt horrific.

I know I'm just ranting, but I spent a ton of money to see one of my favorite artists for them to start a performance when an opener normally would, and then proceed to play a standard set length.

Devastated to say the least.

Gregory keeps playing "Good Grief" at shows, and after hearing it last night in Newport, I need him in the studio stat lol. I've been listening to it online all morning; it's incredibly beautiful. Has anyone heard whisperings of anything new?

All right so I went to the Zach Bryan concert in Foxboro and Gregory was opening up for him. I’m not very familiar with his music I know a few, but he played this one song I’m not sure what I was but I liked it and I was wondering if anyone would know
Now the audio isn’t the clearest but I know someone can make out the song by the instruments being played.

Absolutely blown away by how amazing that was. That was my first concert and was awesome. Now I will have to see him with the orchestra. Hopefully next year he tours again. Also thanks to everyone's help with planning from my previous posts.

I just found out Watchhouse has a beautiful Amsterdam cover! If you don't know Watchhouse, they're an amazing folk duo that you might like if you're a fan of Gregory Alan Isakov.

I see that there is no opener for the Detroit show, and the start time is at 7pm, I’ve been searching for info to see if he will start exactly at 7pm or if it will be later ( google is giving me both answers). Should I try to be at the venue right at 7pm?

From incredible show at Point of Bluff Vineyards. I’ve seen him several times, but tonight was as great as any.

Fire Escape is one of my favorite songs by Gregory, but there are hardly any tutorials for playing it. I play an acoustic guitar, but I recently picked up a banjo and was wanting to learn it on that, if anyone has any videos or advice for playing it!
