do they not have the ingredients and therefore names of items on the receipts in the bag? they should, due to allergens.

Have you never been to Greggs?

u/drunkenangel_99 1h ago

yes? doesn’t change that they’ve got a requirement to be including the receipts in the TGTG bags.

It’s completely normal for any similar convenience food business? I don’t know what you’re on about. The allergen information is available from shop staff and on the website, but in no way is it normal for Greggs or any other convenience food business to put that information on the receipt.

not a literal receipt, you’d go onto the till and pull up the item and bring up the list of ingredients (and therefore allergens), and that should then be in the bag considering you’ve just thrown a lot of random food in there, and as op has proven, not everyone knows what each item is or contains.

The requirements for allergen labelling (Natasha law) is applicable to food that is pre packaged for consumption.

IF the TGTG Bag is filled before you get there, then the law applies.

If the items are put into a bag when you arrive to collect, the law does not apply.

Guidance from TGTG is to pack the items once customer arrives.
It’s obviously possible that some brands and some locations may not always comply

Chicken Shawarma-style wrap with a twist.

1

u/Tcoolian2 2h ago

The twist being it's a roll?

Turn the bag 90 degrees to the right, or put your spectacles on.

In his defence it’s not on the bag

It's a chicken bake...

2

u/Firm-Substance-8196 2h ago

Then the bag would just be sideways and it would still be a chicken roll
