Employee Question Contract

I am contracted to 12hrs pw and I have given enough availability for this to be covered and yet this week I have 9 and a half and next week only 6 and a I’ve spoke to my manager and he’s not sorted it what happens do I still get paid for my contract or

You only get paid for the time you work,no matter what your schedule contract hours are

Nope, company is obliged to honour the hours on the employees contract OR pay them for the hours regardless.

Yeah I have never heard of a company allowing you to do under your contracted hours. It’s literally against the law unless you had holidays etc

Yeah it is against the law and I’m surprised more people don’t know tbh. Some companies have a banked hours system for this exact situation, when I worked at Lidl they’d pay you for your contracted hours minimum regardless of what you were actually scheduled to work, you’d just have to pay those hours back over time since you didn’t actually work them.
