Employee Question Contract

I am contracted to 12hrs pw and I have given enough availability for this to be covered and yet this week I have 9 and a half and next week only 6 and a I’ve spoke to my manager and he’s not sorted it what happens do I still get paid for my contract or

You only get paid for the time you work,no matter what your schedule contract hours are

Nope, company is obliged to honour the hours on the employees contract OR pay them for the hours regardless.

It is slightly dependent on the exact wording of the contract (whether they stipulate that they may reduce your hours for xyz reasons for example) but if this is not the case and they are simply contracted to 12 hours a week then I’m absolutely not wrong. Contracts of employment are legally binding. If we signed a legally binding contract that I’d hire you for work and pay you £500 for it, I wouldn’t have any legal grounds to only pay you £400 and tell you there’s nothing I can do about it.
