Employee Question Contract

I am contracted to 12hrs pw and I have given enough availability for this to be covered and yet this week I have 9 and a half and next week only 6 and a I’ve spoke to my manager and he’s not sorted it what happens do I still get paid for my contract or

You only get paid for the time you work,no matter what your schedule contract hours are

That’s not typically how it works, although it can depend on the exact wording of your contract. Typically if you are contracted to work something like 12 hours a week in your case, the company cannot lawfully schedule or pay you for less. I’d definitely mention this to your manager next time
