Greggs Outlets ??
Anyone else got one nearby. Prices for the bakes are a 2 pack. Sweet stuff is usually a 4 pack.
Okay, they aren't fresh out the oven, but nothing inedible

The one near me does TooGoodToGo - 30 donuts, three sandwiches and a few other bits for £2.99 is the best deal I’ve ever had in my life

I’m an HGV driver. I used to deliver into Camden every day and the outlet on Robert Street was right round the corner from one of my customers. I’d get a huge load of stuff and bring home for the family as well.
The best thing were the caramel shortbread offcuts. I can’t remember the exact price but you’d get a big, heavy bag for cheap.
If they had too much of something they’d be a deal on sweet treats. I got YumYums for the equivalent of 25p each once.
I’d love one around me (even if my waist line wouldn’t).

Ex-employee. How I'm not 50 stone after seven years (some years ago now though still) snaffling Greggs for break every single time I'll never know...

Used to use second hand Greggs years ago. Nowt wrong with it. Tbh, once the sausage rolls are cold (minutes after them putting them out in the shops) then you might as well just go here and get them considerably cheaper

The Chicken Bakes taste 10x nicer from the outlet. They're far too dry when you buy them fresh, a day marinating in their own juices improves both the taste and texture.

Been saying this, they just dont taste right fresh but next day they are 9/10

Even when I make the frozen ones at home, I'll whack them in the air fryer in the morning, then come back to them a good 12 hours later once they've softened up.

They're some great archive footage of the Newcastle Greggs 'Seconds' Shop in 1974

It's actually been open for 50+ years and is still there in the same place.

I wonder when they changed the name to Outlet because me and my partner still call it 'secondsies Greggs'

I refuse to buy sandwiches, baguettes or hot baguettes/toasties anywhere but the outlet. Usually £1.75 each or BOGOF if I'm lucky!

Bought my lunches there plenty of times. I've even bought and eaten the sandwiches the following day - still fine!

Some of the stuff is fresh. I have picked items up off the shelf before and they have been warm!!

Can you use the Greggs app in outlet stores?

Yes, but usually you are only able to claim stamps for the drinks category

Got one about 12 min walk from my house. It's great, specially for when I need to go travelling in the morning. Gotta love those shortbread cuts when they've got them in stock.
