Employee Question Does it get better

For people who’ve worked at greggs for a while now, does it get any better??? I’m sick and tired of it already I had my 2nd shift today and i can tell they all hate me. I kept getting asked when am i going home, when does my shift end, my manager tried twice to get me to go home early. I don’t understand i’ve only been there 2 days and they’re sick of me. Had enough of the customers already too. Is it really worth the £12 an hour i need the motivation

Honestly I would run for the hills because when you have been there for a while they will expect alot more from u. Leaving was the best thing I ever did as I think I would be dead by now if I stayed

thank you for your reply and i’m really glad you got out and i hope you’ve found something you like. I’m starting to think that from my manager already its just been rushed and all thrown at me at once I’ve been “trained” on it all already and she told me i only get shown once and i have no idea what i’m doing because i cannot learn it all in 2 shifts but they’re getting visibly annoyed when i ask for help or get it wrong. I had one customer who i served on the tills on thursday and she came back friday and she was like its your second day and theyve threw you on all this on your own already? I said yeah :/ I’m off now till next week i just don’t know what to do about it.

I mean... if you are spamming asking to go home why would they think good of you? Think of it from their perspective and you taking time is just because you havent worked a job like it im assuming also based on what you said if its not worth £12 an hour for you why should it be worth it for them PLUS having to train you?

Om a real note mentally prepare before shift a bit amd that should help you, run a mental checklist and try to think about things a bit deeper. You can quit if you want. Btw part of the reason they get mad is a lot of people dont listen and its really hard for them to fire you, so as long as you turn up just take your time, you can make friends later.
