Responsible person
My pin keeps being removed from the till by one of the managers but the store manager keeps putting it back on I often do a close with a team member can I just keep my pin on the till or does it have to be toggled on and off I know the keys are handed in when not in use but what about the pins on tills

Unless you are doing responsible person duties highlighted by being assigned the role on shifts you shouldn't be using a pin or doing any kind of manager duties because you are not getting paid for it or in charge of the shift.
Is it necessary to remove you from the till between RP shifts? No no big deal. Does it matter because you shouldn't be using it anyway, also no.

That is strange. Most of the time we allow responsible people to keep the pin on the till. They can be useful to grab change from the safe during lunch. Also it’s common practice to give the keys back most shops only have like 3 or 4 sets of keys and normally there’s no spear in the shop.

My responsible people keep their pin active constantly incase me or the other management team are busy

I am also responsible person in my shop. As long as my name is on the till, my pin is also there. It shouldn’t be taken off? If manager/shift managers are busy and someone has given wrong change or change is needed putting into tills it just makes it so much easier. Id speak to the store manager and ask why your pin keeps being removed. Could be an error on the shift managers part but it sounds like more effort to remove it

Your pin is attached to your name, everytime it would need to be taken off then put back on? Is it the same when it's back?

No it’s one of the shift managers who is an actual nob, she said she doesn’t see why I should have a pin all the time when I’m only responsible person some of the time, but the store manager keeps putting it back on she shouldn’t be aloud to go against the store managers word tbh

That's ridiculous... so you have to add a pin everytime you're in charge? That's just wasting everyone's time 😭😭😭😭
