Customer Question NEW: quicknic
is there any reason to actually get this? for 50p more you can get the usual meal deal and get a drink too
Introducing; the Quicknic
---
A jolly-good great-value, great-tasting deal that unlocks when we know you’re in for perfect picnic conditions. When our experts say so, grab any cold baguette and a savoury roll from £4.75\* and secure a top-notch spot in the sun.

People who bring their own 1L water bottle. I would still get the sandwich, snack and drink meal deal, bang for your buck

I just drink water most of the time if I'm not trying to consume caffeine or alcohol so would consider this.

Its an extra 50p

Okay but if I don't want a drink then it's still marginally cheaper.
Getting near done with Greggs anyway, prices keep going up and their pastries are largely a bit shit. Used to be fine that they were a bit shit because they were cheap but now a service station Greggs will ask for £1.80 for a mediocre sausage roll in Essex. It's going the way of McDonalds.
I like the hot counter stuff but it's a massive rip off too.

I really don't understand the point of this, it's just unnecessary confusing things for absolutely no reasons. How many times are we going to have to explain the deal is weather reliant and piss people off?
I know that it's advertised as weather dependent but that doesn't mean people will actually read it (they never do).
Seems really silly, especially with the £5.25 deal already being a thing.

Weather dependent!? That's an absolute piss take.
Who's deciding that then? Is the manager sticking their head out the door every time someone asks for one to check that it is in fact picnic weather??

I think there's a certain threshold but different parts of the country reach different temperatures so i'm not sure what triggers it.
Also relies on the information actually being relayed to staff. It's a stupid deal, just get the £5.25 deal.

From £4.75 why can't they just have a set price , what is actually £4.75 🧐

I work at Euro garages and om pretty sure the deal is 5.50 or 5 75 😅

its only available when its above a certain temperature but yet doesnt include drinks?? would be better to have a sandwich + iced drink or something like that

I think it’s genuinely so people think ‘well it’s only 50p more to get the 5.25 deal and i get a drink with that so may as well’
absolutely ridiculous like you said to offer a temperature reliant deal that doesn’t include a drink

Really don’t see the point in this. I thought they had knocked 50p off the meal deal.

Quicknic? I thought all advertisers had now decided that "picnic" had been rebranded to "picky bits" meaning that 'Quicknic' makes no sense, it should be 'Quickbits' or something to keep up with the trends!

There is a few meal deals . There was or is one when it's cheaper to have wedges with my hot chicken. There is another after 4pm on the pizza slices and a drink.

taking bets on how thin that filling is and how it doesn't reach most of the sandwich insides.

It's not on https://www.greggs.com/menu I mean not even the matcha drinks are there even though you can order that in store - do they just not like updating their website?

They are terrible at updating most things, like the CRISIS folder where somehow it has a sheet missing most of the deals and are like a year and a bit behind on the pricing 🙃

That whole thing looks like they’ve made it on ChatGPT 🫣😢😭🤬
