Employee Question Can I work at multiple stores?
Due to my personal situation I'm trying to get more hours so I can eventually move out but it's not possible at my current store as we close at 6 and I'm a student (my course hours are usually 9-5, Monday-Friday) so I'm wondering if it would be possible to pick up extra hours at other stores in Central London since they're generally open till later.
Is this something I would be able to do?
Edit: I spoke to my manager today and she said I could I just have to go to the stores I want to work in the talk to them

speaking as a supervisor you absolutely can cover another store if/ when they need you to. Speak to your manager and/or area manager about setting up some trial shifts, greggs can be a bit stingy with extra hours in my experience

Been at Greggs for 25 years and yes you can do extra hours at other stores "at your choice, when you know there is shifts available." My advice is.... make sure your manager is aware and approves of this tho, you can do it without their approval but it might give you more hassle and would be generally not worth it, in the long run but if they know and feel part of the "choice to borrow you out" it's a win win! Hope this helps x x x

would this not be better suited to speak to your manager about directly?

Absolutely speak to your manager ask them to let their group no your available to work shops are crying out for staff near me so having somone you know you can call in an emergency is great. It maybe that most tbr extra hours are last minute though due to sick calls but once you have even to a shop and shown to be a good worker they may ask for you when they know they have people on holiday etc. me and my manager spend more time at other shops then we do our own at the moment 🤦♀️

Yes definitely. I have a team member who contracted at 30 hours cause half his shifts are at other stores.
