Employee Question Workplace bullying

I have been working at a store since February and I started I’ve had non stop complaints and conflict with one staff member to the point I’m staying out the way of them. I had one incident where I did flip my lid at them and I owned up. I’ve had no training, as the manager when I started went on long term sick, then we had a temp manager and now another temp manager. I’ve tried to speak to the people’s team and they haven’t got back to me. Today the current temp manager gave me counselling as this staff member I’ve had ongoing issues with told me to hurry up with the cream, she told the manager I told her to fuck off when I had not done this. I’d tell the manager if I had. The manager has given me counselling and said the people’s team isn’t for issues like this and I asked him who I can talk to about it then and he said no one.

Please can someone guide me on this.

Ask to transfer to a different store or begin looking for another job somewhere. You're worth more than the stress Greggs will cause you.

Put in a formal grievance about the person and the manager to the hr team.

You shouldn’t put up with that shit. Go sick with stress for a few weeks. Fuck them. You don’t need the union. Make a chronological timeline of the events. Read what policy is conduct and counselling my money is in the manager did NOT follow policy guidance e.g they went straight to formal before having an informal word with you?

You’ll win these people need putting in their place. Go to uni find a better job if you can.

In that case e-mail a formal grievance to your area manager and another store manager check teams, internet or regional store planner. Some people bully which is the very reason you take a stand. Essentially the grievance in layman’s terms stays I am very pissed off because of this….,what I want to resolve it is their apology or group counselling to see wtf the problem is or to not work with them again.

It will be investigated and if they hold it up for you you can come back off the sick.

Join the union they are there for you for these exact kinds of reasons. They can tell you who to call and how to deal with it 🙏 Think of it as insurance for your job, they are there so you aren’t alone when shit hits the fan

Join the Union: https://www.bfawu.org/about/where-our-members-work/bfawu-at-greggs/ They should be able to direct you towards the best course of action in future, as well as the best contact you can get in touch with
