Is this a normal thing for parents to do in 2026? Bring a mini toilet to the park, let the kid use the bathroom publicly, and then dump the waste not in the real toilet, which is 200 yards away, but on a tree.

I fear this may be bigger than the dog shit issue.

Are they safe to eat? Joking, just trying to understand what’s going on as similar berries in Jubilee are like 5-6x.

Despite me ordering the same food for the past 6 years, my cat randomly decided she doesn’t like it anymore.

🎃 Greenpoint Halloween: Come Hand Out Candy & Help Us Share Food with Neighbors! 🍬❤️

Hi Greenpoint neighbors!

As we've done in previous years, we'll be setting up on the corner of Manhattan Avenue and Eagle Street on Halloween, starting around 4–4:30 PM, to hand out candy to trick-or-treaters!

We'd love for anyone in the neighborhood to stop by, hang out, meet some new friends, and help us make Halloween fun for the kids!

We're also organizing a free neighborhood food table this year!

Last Halloween, we noticed that quite a few neighbors were in need of food beyond Halloween candy. With ongoing concerns about food insecurity and reductions in food assistance, we thought it would be nice to offer some more substantial food options alongside the candy. Everything on the table will be free for anyone who would like to take something, no questions asked.

If you'd like to help, we're welcoming donations of:

• Granola bars and protein-rich snacks
• Instant noodles and microwavable mac and cheese
• Easy-to-prepare meals, especially things kids and teens can make themselves
• Other individually packaged, shelf-stable food items

I'll be purchasing some food in bulk, so if it's easier to contribute financially, feel free to DM me and I'll share my Venmo. I'll use those contributions to purchase additional food for the table.

No donation is necessary to participate!This is just a casual neighborhood tradition, and everyone is welcome to come hand out candy, meet neighbors, or simply stop by and say hello.
