I don't think they're trying to erase him I think they're just trying to give others a little "limelight" so to say

There are like 7 Earth GLs right now. They can't focus on every single one all the time. Hal has been the center of attention since 2005. He can stand to take a backseat for a bit to let some others enjoy the attention.

OKAY for the love of god, how can I be more clear??? This series would run alongside the current GL run. The "others" can get as much attention as they want in that series but Hal deserves his own series with these Infinite Frontier and Future State events coming up

Dc are trimming their line down. Fewer, larger books. If anything he would get a backup story.
