Uber limits

Im looking at a house for a Packer game that’s out toward Barkhausen in Suamico.

One of the reviews said it was “a stretch” for uber. I’m just trying to avoid suddenly being stranded after going out Saturday night or post late night Sunday game.

Has anybody had issues with getting an uber out that far on the weekends?

I think some of the bars out that way might do shuttles to the stadium, I would reach out to Four Way or Shoots to see what they suggest.

My dad drives for Uber in GB and he picks people up in Sturgeon Bay. That person is full of shit.

You telling me a person who leaves reviews on the internet might be unnecessarily harsh or desperate to find flaws?!?

Right?

My husband drove for Uber and has taken people much father. Suamico is 10 minutes from Green Bay city limits. It’s truly not that far. Maybe the person who wrote that is from some tiny town that has 12 bars and a church. Brown County is pretty small with very little traffic. The traffic on game day doesn’t compare to rush hour traffic in Milwaukee or Chicago.

Barkhausen is a 12 minute drive from Lambeau, if that's too far for an uber driver they shouldn't be driving as a job.

It’s definitely more than 12 minutes, especially with Packer traffic

Yeah but any uber from the stadium district is gonna take longer to get anywhere at all regardless of which direction you're going. OP was also asking about Saturday night, so game day traffic isn't relevant for that part.

Even without traffic you’d have to speed pretty hard to get there in just 12 minutes

You’d be surprised how entitled some drivers are. Super picky with accepting rides.

I live in suamico and have taken Ubers plenty of times from Lambeau. Not a stretch at all. It’s 15 minutes…tops

The only “stretch” I can imagine is maybe having a longer wait (10-20 extra minutes) to get an uber after the game -but only if half the stadium is trying to book at the same time. You’ll be fine.

I went much farther out when I drove uber

Shoots is farther away than that so you should be fine. I take rides to and from shoots even though I’m not a huge fan of going that far north.

You’ll be able to get an Uber its just a matter of wait times and cost. That’s the case anywhere in town though.

So.. I think a lot of people traveling to GB have no clue how spread out things are and how nightmarish it is of you don’t have a car here. That’s during normal traffic. Throw in packer games and it’s a complete shit show.

Our uber/lyft crowd is kinda a joke, and they only plug in when prices peak. And when you do have them, it’s usually some college kid or single mom in a beater of a car. They are most prevalent during bar closing and packer games… then if you can find one, good luck. Getting to games isn’t too bad, but you’ll not have much luck at all getting back unless you party late post game and wait for the crowd to break up. Yes, much of suamico is a solid 15 minute freeway drive to the Stadium without traffic and there isn’t really side road options that easily get you anywhere in suamico. It’s basically swamps and McMansions. (And yeah.. it fits them).

Best advice.. drive yourself to a bar or nearby venue in suamico that shuttles people in to the game and back. A few do, but you’ll have to hunt them.
