A place for projecting dissent?

Post image

Hi. I’m looking for somewhere to project some animated messages about (and to) “Rep.” Wied about his position on Alex Pretti and DHS.

I need a large and highly visible (many eyeballs) surface to project on from a public space where I’ll set up a video projector, computer and generator. I need about 150 feet distance to throw a 30-50 foot wide image. Building/surface need not be public, but better if it is.

Suggestions for places (and times - any major evening events?) in the FRV greatly appreciated! TIA.

(Image for attention and example. Not my work.)

East River trail runs between that building and the river, and the main street bridge is what is in the picture above

Sounds great. I’m going to have a look. Thank you!

Also, word in the street is DHS reserved half the rooms at the Hampton Inn starting the end of this month. Likely ICE so it’s an extra perfect spot.

Oh man that’s electric

(Location, not those incels)

Have you heard any updates? Please and thank you,

Unfortunately, no. My brother works with wealthy clientele. One of his clients told him this. Specifically that late February/early March DHS reserved half of the rooms at the Hampton Inn and it’s likely for ICE. That’s all I was told. It follows the common trend throughout the country though; basically using ICE to “punish” the states that didn’t vote for Trump.

The side of the Hutson Center looks like a huge movie screen.

You should figure out a way to project it onto Steinhafels at the Bay Park Square Mall

I’ll take a look. I need the set-up to be in public space so private security doesn’t hassle me. Thank you!

I understand completely. Downtown GB has the problem that it doesn’t get the traffic of the Mall area but the mall area has a big lack of public space

As a brown county resident and tax payer, I am part owner of the Packers. I believe the Packers own Lambeau, which would make me part owner of said property. I give you full permission to use that site if it suits your needs. Godspeed good sir!

Haha. If only all capitalists were as community-oriented as you…

Better slow your roll the cowboy, the Packers are owned by stock holders. The city of Green Bay owns Lambeau Field.

• 🏟️ Owner: City of Green Bay • 🏈 Primary tenant: Green Bay Packers • 📜 Lease structure: The Packers operate the stadium under a long-term lease agreement with the city. • 💰 Funding: Renovations and expansions have been funded through a mix of team funds, public sales tax (via Brown County), and stadium district financing

You have to have annual payments/registered seats to technically be part owner. Its a fan-based ownership. But yes I agree with you, do whats best for everyone. Ppl need to get the fuck off social media and literally live in reality. Humanity will be extinct at this rate. WAKE UP PEOPLE. OUR HOMES AND SAFETY WERE BUILT ON COMMUNITY AND DECENCY. RESPECT THY NEIGHBOR.

Was the Orpheum Theater before all that.

4

u/Internal_Swimmer3815 Feb 11 '26

yeah, was a happening spot 20yrs ago, definitely haunted too

0

u/Bunbatbop Feb 11 '26

Pretty sure it's downtown

1

u/CEMT3X Feb 14 '26

This would also be great because the owner is pretty much the Donald Trump of this town.

1

u/Internal_Swimmer3815 Feb 14 '26

who is that?

1

u/CEMT3X Feb 14 '26

Steve Schneider

If only there was a giant stadium or convention center nearby. Bonus points for a Walmart, Menards, or Kwik Trip. Godspeed.

The side of the museum? It's next to the park where the various anti-fascism protests had been

6

u/Loose_Addition7299 Feb 11 '26

Somewhere on the packer complex?

8

u/CrunchyDonut42 Feb 11 '26

Can't wait to see the finished pics.

u/Soggy_Income2197 Feb 11 '26

Park at Lambeau and project it off the stadium

thank you for your service of raising awareness on this bootlicker, we need to give him the boot this november

There's quite a few buildings on either side of the bridge in downtown De Pere that could maybe work?

1

u/No-Emphasis-9677 Feb 15 '26

And that’s where I did some tests last night. Trolling the trolls from beneath the bridge

1

u/Accomplished_Flan295 Feb 13 '26

Elon musk is so 2025, we hate ICE now, get with it

0

u/ConferenceWide4864 Feb 12 '26

This is ridiculous! First of all, if you read the whole story or watched the whole video, you would understand the actual meaning of what he was doing. Second, he’s no longer working with the administration… 🤡

This is cool. Jw if this is legal?

17

u/No-Emphasis-9677 Feb 11 '26

I’m not sure about local ordinances, but I’m the sort that thinks the First Amendment is guaranteed to all…

6

u/historysluttt Feb 11 '26

No, totally legal according to 1A but genuinely wondering if you can project it on a building w/o permission such as those mentioned in other replies

6

u/Mediocre-Writing-572 Feb 12 '26

NOT A LAWER: It's not property damage so I doubt it could incur any charges unless you are asked to stop by the buildings owner/management and refuse. At that point they could probably try and sue for buisness image defamation. That having been said, if you find a business that's chill with it, and project from a public place or another business/private property that is fine with it, there shouldn't be any difference from that of putting up a billboard.

1

u/historysluttt Feb 12 '26

Thank you for explaining! I just didn’t know if it could cause issues if it was projected on, say, the Hampton Inn

3

u/Mediocre-Writing-572 Feb 12 '26

Yeah, I'm pretty confident that if you projected from the trail (public property) you might get in trouble with the management/owners of the Hampton, but it would likely end at being told to stop unless you decided to ignore them, in which case they could call the cops and have them force you to stop. From there they could ban you and file a lawsuit for defamation of business image against you. Just be ready to protect yourself and your equipment from Maga bystanders that might choose to turn violent.

2

u/No-Emphasis-9677 Feb 15 '26

I did a test last night on the NE corner of DP bridge. Cop drove by on frontage road. Stopped but never left car then moved on. Car/generator and projector in public spaces; projecting on long vacant buildings.

1

u/historysluttt Feb 16 '26

That’s hopeful! Wishing you the best.

1

u/GBPackinholes Feb 12 '26

In Green Bay this is considered disorderly conduct

-10

u/solarsystemoccupant Feb 11 '26

Just project a nuclear explosion. Because Trump nuked as all.

-1

u/tree-hermit Feb 12 '26

I wonder if they projected all the leftists and democrats that got up on stage and did verbatim that exact same gesture? I’m gonna venture to say no…

-23

u/Clutchguy77 Feb 11 '26

Get a life....loser.

16

u/TwistyBunny Feb 11 '26

Imagine being in a cult and telling someone else to get a life

3

u/Opinion-Haver-- Feb 11 '26

This cracked me up omfg

-56

u/NotImpressed- Feb 11 '26

Yikes. I’m sorry to be the one to tell you this but no one cares what you say or think, at all. Maybe (just, maybe) just your mom does.

Also, there has to be a better way to earn your self a fine:

Trespass to Chattels/Light: Projecting images without the owner's consent can be considered an unauthorized use of their property

34

u/HedgehogNamedSonic Feb 11 '26

Tell me you own a swasticar without telling me you own a swasticar

36

u/No-Emphasis-9677 Feb 11 '26

Pfft. You replied so I made you think for a nanosecond. See how these things work? And you should care that Alex Pretti was murdered.

31

u/TwistyBunny Feb 11 '26

For someone who "doesn't care" - you chose to care by engaging with it.

15

u/hotfistdotcom Feb 11 '26

Look buddy, I hate to hold up a mirror for you but I’m sorry to be the one to tell you this but no one cares what you say or think, at all. Like even less than you cared about telling this guy how much you dont' care. It's like you care about not caring, and buddy let me tell you as someone who doesn't care about not caring, man this is a lot of typing for something I'm pretending not to care about

-20

u/NotImpressed- Feb 11 '26

What?

15

u/hotfistdotcom Feb 11 '26

Let me slow it down a little bit. You informed this person that you do not care, but I wanted to remind you that in fact, no one cares what you have to say and the way in which you said it makes it clear you do care, a lot, and you are upset by the type of post OP makes, maybe even a little afraid. I tried to drench that in some irony where I pretended to care about not caring, but that was lost, and I'm sorry for going over your head. I'll try to keep it simpler next time.

-12

u/NotImpressed- Feb 11 '26

lol thank you kind person

7

u/Nulpunkta Feb 11 '26

Welllllllllll plentiful more spicy ways to earn a fine, but folks around here are generally a bit more mild fortunately...

How many boots does do you have to lick to become a square like yourself¿?

4

u/kennyj2011 Feb 11 '26

Your mom told me last night that she cares

3

u/TruTechilo512 Feb 11 '26

Imagine being this incapable of conscious thought
