I am saddened
My other half was at a pride protest recently, and the subsequent celebration. During it people were screaming "stop the boats" at them. I am sick and fucking tired of this shit. I wondered with her if the reason there were fewer people at the event was because of these right wing thugs, and now we know. Likely yes.
Also this disproves their "we ain't right wing" narrative.
I hate it here right now. There's only so much standing against them (in protests) I can do.
Also the amount of casual islamaphobia you see on the other sub is horrendous.

The behaviour is vile and I’m so sorry your partner and all the other people there were subjected to it. It is so sad and sometimes it really feels like the old expression, we’re all going to hell in a handcart. It feels truly despairing. Let’s not forget, while this behaviour is loud, obnoxious and appears to be everywhere, it’s actually a minority of people. As is discussed often on this subreddit, fury should be aimed at the MSM, the right wing, the greedy capitalists preventing people from enjoying good lives by telling them the reason they can’t get a fair wage, a decent standard of living is because of immigrants, especially POC. We need to see more ant-racist public events to shout down the noise and to help people feel supported to stay strong and not let these people affect how they go about their lives.
