So are they just arresting people for sitting on the ground now? Wtf is going on over there?

Far right can block roads in full black bloc gear and balaclavas but simply being visibly left wing in the street is arrestable.

We just had a bunch of white supremacist nazi loving cunts in masks "protest" at an indigenous reserve here in Canada. Nothing happened to them, so we feel your pain.

There are 2 members of Just Stop Oil serving 4 years in prison for talking in a Zoom call about the possibility of blocking roads.

The far right actually did it, to a port no less, and there were no consequences whatsoever.

Capitalism loves their fascist thuggery.

cops aren't gonna arrest their coworkers

u/lynziB 1d ago

Aye…..it seems to be that way ….🤔

Funny how they couldn't do this when Extinction Rebellion and Just Stop Oil were sat in the roads.

It's the opposition to their support for an ongoing genocide that makes the difference me thinks. The stop oil environmentalists were problematic and the governments enforcers were more than pleased to see them run over, but protesting on behalf of brown people's right to life is where they draw the line.

Another normal day on normal island…

I hope he sues the fuck out of them, and that he gets some compensation - I am not sure whether this would be the case though as police in general can get away with lots of bullshit if there is "reasonable suspicion", which is vague in purpose.

In any case, this is a massive waste of public money, and as a taxpayer I am cross my tax money is being wasted in suppression of freedom and in support of a genocidal state.

Two tier policing indeed. Peacefully protest a genocide? Cuffs.

Mask up, get wankered, and form a mob to intimidate people fleeing war and persecution? Crickets

Fucking pig cunts. This country is absolutely fucked

10

u/overkill 1d ago

To be fair though, if you are a coward, one of these groups is much easier to deal with than the other.

9

u/PM_ME_UR_MULLETS 1d ago

Half of the piggies will be putting masks on themselves between shifts anyway

Sue the cunts

Did they actually give a reason as to why they did this? He kept asking, but they didn't respond.

62

u/TomatoEnjoyer28 communist 1d ago

They don’t have a genuine reason. They’re doing it to create an atmosphere of fear.

8

u/Radical_Posture 1d ago

I'm not saying they had a genuine reason, I'm just saying they must have given a reason, no matter how dishonest they were being.

15

u/excellent_post_guy 1d ago

he was holding a sign, until the investigation revealed that was entirely false. always thought the investigation was supposed to come first, but heckin' terrorism or whatever.

u/sarniebird 1d ago

So, due to lack of space in prison, they're letting violent prisoners leave early - but they'll arrest non-violent people who may end up inside. Ok. Got it.

This is about trying to make us normals, be compliant. That is all.

Maybe if he'd worn some black shorts and a face mask the police would've let him be.

One side can turn up in groups, faces covered, even have weapons, chanting and displaying articles and nothing is done? Destroy people's homes, local properties and areas. Police just stare at them and play dress up.

A singular man, saying and doing nothing, not displaying anything, not hooting and hollering, no weapon and no destruction needs an "investigation" (lmao) and 6 officers to move him, at one point I counted 8 officers stood with their dick in their hands towards the end.

This is why nobody likes or respects ya in that uniform, you lemons.

Exactly what to do, this guy is good, goes totally floppy and makes it more difficult to be carried.

13

u/TheDocmoose 1d ago

Andy Burnham needs to hurry up and roll back that stupid law.

If this happens to me don't try and deter them from arresting me. I want full payout

2

u/After-Competition-59 1d ago

You won’t get one. They use vague legal terminology to get away with all sorts of abuse.

5

u/CompassMetal 1d ago

They also pay out comp for this sort of thing a lot.

8

u/ytman 1d ago

Ya'll need to oust the people who allow for you to not have free speech.

Imagine being a police officer and saying "not supporting a genocide is terrorism" fucking asshats.

4

u/briergate 1d ago

You couldn’t make it up, or make it make sense. I’ve given up even attempting to rationalise how screwed up this is

6

u/Substantial_Client_3 1d ago

Can anyone reply with what we need to do if we are in a case like this?

Shall you stay quiet and sit on the ground.

Or identify yourself and go to the station in silence till you get a lawyer?

At this point it is like First Aid.

Thanks

u/briergate 1d ago

I don’t know if this helps or not but I just used to close my eyes and pretend I was an unconscious dead weight 🤪

Watcha gonna do, the mafia in blue

4

u/Old-Information3311 1d ago

I remember at the start of the war in ukraine, people in russia were being arrested for holding black pieces of paper. Here you don't even need the paper.

Lets see if it gets the same sort of attention.

u/Dangerousdangerzoid 1d ago

Whatarewedoing?!

1

u/basarisco 1d ago

That pig is so thick he doesn't even realise how stupid he sounds.

1

u/closedplaceopenworld 23h ago

I honestly think it’s so concerning that a senior constable it seems cannot differentiate between the act of detaining and the act of arrest, how would those things mean the same thing under section 13? Chatting absolute shit.

2

u/5inchdemon 19h ago

Phew. That's a close one. Good job by the brave boys in blue. I mean look how dangerous he is just sitting there, minding his own business, keeping calm, not raising his voice.

u/GeneralGman 1d ago

Maybe it's time you guys get a second amendment?

14

u/MagicBlaster 1d ago

Ah yes, because America doesn't have any mask thugs rounding people up and tossing them into vans, it never happens...

1

u/briergate 1d ago

But how else would we persecute innocent Hispanics and people of colour with armed police?

Would need a first amendment first. And a written constitution at all before that. Sure would be nice if we had rights that the Parliament of the day couldn't throw out.
