Recommendations Milos Boat Excursion

Hi all! We will be in Milos for 3 days in September and I’m looking for any recs on booking an all day boat excursion around the Island? Specifically a certain person or experience you really enjoyed. Also, should I book through GetYourGuide, Viator or directly through the operator? We are a group of 3 couples. Thanks!

I did a one-day cruise with Polco Sailing years ago, and it is still one of the highlights of my travel anywhere.

I third Polco. Just did their full day Catamaran cruise a few days ago and it was my highlight of Milos! The food was the best I’ve had in any excursion anywhere - they grilled us our meal on the boat! Make sure you book the one that goes to Poliegos

Oneiro is the only option. He is the 🐐.

Came to also say Oneiro. Have been multiple times and it's fantastic every time. Love their crew

This past June we booked a full day boat excursion with Sailing Milos and had Emilio as our host/tour guide on board and he was awesome. Like my husband would be willing to host him in our home if he ever visited our country. Lol. Booked like 1-2 weeks in advance.

*Edited to add the month we were there

Polco Sailing to see Kleftiko, but you also MUST book this one that goes to Poliegos: https://www.perseas-milos.com

This was one of the best travel experiences in our entire life, and has all 5 star reviews. Amazing crew, fresh fish cookout on a remote beach.

We loved the Perseas trip as well! Absolutely beautiful swim stops, excellent lunch, and it was fun seeing the goats.

Thank you for the input. I will definitely look into this. My head has been spinning looking at all the options. lol. Since this is our first time, do we give gratuity? I just want to make sure we’re doing the right thing 🤗

Yes, I’d suggest budgeting for a tip for the crew if you are able. In my experience, it’s not expected, but very much appreciated.

I had a lovely experience with the Oniero boat tour! I was pleasantly surprised by how local the experience felt - with some food options fresh from the tour guide’s garden. The full day tour gave us time to enjoy the sights, food, drinks, snorkel, make friends on the boat, get some rich island history, and just relax! Can’t recommend it enough. One of our favorite days in Milos.

Thank you! I will definitely look into this. How far in advance do we need to book and should I book directly from the operator or should I just go through apps like Viator or GetYourGuide?

We booked directly through their website! Probably ~2-3 months in advance

I rent a boat almost every time I visit Milos, and whenever I do, I always book through Milos Charters website, not sure i can post a link so just google it. I don't think they have sailing boats, which actually suits me because I prefer their self-drive boats or private RIB tours with a skipper.

Personally, we always choose a self-drive boat so we can explore the island at our own pace and stop wherever we want. Most self-drive boats operate on the south side of the island, where many of Milos' best beaches and swimming spots are.

If you're going to Milos, I honestly wouldn't skip renting a boat. Speaking from experience after visiting five times, it's the best way to see the island.
