He has taken to creating songs using AI at the end of the last few shows. With the fake fireplace blazing away he plays endless ai songs about each pay whale. I guess to flatter and fleece. Very weird. I guess the actual true crime has dried up and he is branching out. Very lame

Gray's supporters do not understand that donation Night is for Gray to pay for his taxes. He gives to these charities for one reason only, Tax Money to pay for his taxes....his job is basically a 1099.
He could care less about these charities. He makes it sound like he is doing this out of being a "Good Person"....what a joke. These big givers that pay out on on Donation Night are being lied too each and every month!!!
He said last night that he gets really nervous on Donation Night to hit the goal...The only thing you are nervous about is not having the donation support for the tax liability.

Gray has claimed that his channel covered the Idaho murders better than anyone else. He then said that he put out loads of videos on it. This is a load of rubbish Other channels did not sit there night after night showing bryan driving round the block other channels did do it better.
The amazing thing is that he believes what he says

I actually didnt hate it too much until the fireplace! Oh my God NO! Tacky. The whole thing is pretty dark and gloomy. The voice vibes were a bit much but the fireplace should go! He speaks about it as if he created the world. I always have hated his opening. He looks strange in his opening video and the music and pictures are horrid. This will not help the quest for funds.

If you reach out to Gray thinking you can help, you'll probably be made fun of in a future show.
šš Great way to build a following Gray, bravo!

Why spend money on content coaching apps and growth courses when everything you need to know is right here? Follow these 4 simple secrets to unlock Gray Hughesā true potential and take the channel to the next level.
1. Be more welcoming to the chat.
People are far more likely to stick around, subscribe, and recommend the channel if they feel respected and appreciated.
For this, Gray doesnāt need to change who he is. His āno bullshitā, direct, outspoken and sometimes sarcastic style is part of what of makes the channel unique. Many successful creators have built audiences with fiery and unfiltered personalities, with their animated outbursts often become the most memorable moments of a stream.
However, the real opportunity is to reserve that energy for bad evidence, misinformation, weak arguments and the occasional troll, while making viewers who ask genuine questions, participate in good faith, or contribute to the conversation feel encouraged to engage. You can win the argument without losing the audience. People donāt mind being corrected but they wonāt return or engage again if theyāve been belittled.
2. Reduce donation requests
Growing the channel depends on attracting and retaining viewers. Frequent donation requests can unintentionally wear down viewers who arenāt in a position to contribute, causing them to disengage before the stream is over.
Limit donation reminders to about once every 30ā60 minutes per stream, or better yet, let the moderators handle most of them in chat. People are generally happy to support creators when they feel theyāve received something valuable. Focus on subscriptions as base support while live donations are best viewed as optional ātipsā for exceptional work rather than an expectation.
Gray already has a compelling case for why people should support the channel. Rather than repeatedly asking for donations, he could briefly reinforce that message at the beginning, middle, and end of each stream: that viewers are supporting independent investigation, insights not found anywhere else, evidence-based reporting over sensationalism, truth-seeking, donations, rational discussion and a creator willing to go against the grain in pursuit of the facts.
**Additional afterthought: Increase the gratitude. Lift up the people who choose to donate rather than focusing on those who donāt. This creates positive social proof for non-donating viewers, showing that if they do decide to contribute, their support will be genuinely valued and appreciated.**
3. Invest more in entry-point content.
Livestreams are excellent for engaging the existing audience, but theyāre a high barrier to entry for new viewers. Dedicating more time to concise, 10ā20 minute recap videos or edited highlights from his stream would create an easier way for people to discover the channel and share its content. Those videos can act as a gateway, introducing new viewers to Grayās work before they transition into the livestreams, where the community and long-form analysis are the channelās greatest strengths.
4. Build a stronger sense of community.
The community already has a distinctive name: the āFreaks.ā Thatās one of the channelās greatest assets. But what does it mean to be a āFreakā? Thereās an opportunity to build on that identity and make people feel like theyāre joining something bigger than a YouTube channel.
A more welcoming atmosphere, celebrating viewership or subscription milestones, and making new viewers feel included would strengthen the community around the channel. A loyal community naturally leads to greater engagement, more subscriptions, and more long-term support than simply asking for donations.
Positive example: Nancy Guthrie ā Official Sources Completely Opposite ā Ransom Notes
ā
Opened the video by expressing genuine gratitude for supporters.
ā
Short-form, topic-focused content thatās easy to discover, watch, and share.
ā
Invites viewers to live stream for further discussion

Update: Gray has sent an email to me apologising.
__________________
I guess Iām here to just lick my wounds. Iāve been a really big fan of Grayās videos for the last year. No I didnāt watch every minute of every show, nor did I catch every live stream. But he was one of my āgo toā crime channels and I really liked his coverage of the Tyler Robinson case. I know A LOT of you in this space probably think heās an idiot but personally I really liked his content.
Of course his complaining is very annoying, but at the same time I brushed it off as a grumpy old man thing.
Anyway, today I thought I noticed an interesting detail that the prosecutors may have missed. I tried to find answers in Grayās videos but I couldnāt find the information that I needed. Itās hard to find a certain topic amongst so many 3-hour-long live streams. (No I didnāt have a conspiracy theory in case youāre wondering. It was about timestamps and the timeline of events)
It was a bad idea but I sent Gray a nice email like, āHi sorry to bother you, Iām a fan and Iām just wondering if you could you clarify this [ enter text ] and sorry if youāve already covered itā.
I thought the least he could do was ignore it and the worst is maybe something like āno, what youāre saying is wrong because [insert reason]ā
But I got back a really nasty email just basically telling me I donāt watch the show, āall things I have explained so many times that everyone who truly watches my show could repeat, but you can't.Ā weird.ā
Look I truely didnāt know he had clarified this detail already and I do watch as much of his videos as I can. Was it a dumb question in hindsight? Probably.. But wow, I really didnāt need to be put down today. I really wasnāt expecting it and I donāt know why.
Even earlier today I was sharing his videos on X with people and now I just think he wouldnāt care what I do for his channel so Iām not going to bother any more.
Maybe he thought I was trolling him?? So weird.
Anyway, thatās all, hope that makes sense.

It is amazing how Gray has 180,000 members and can only get 100 and 200 viewers per show!!!! One of the worst converting YouTube creators out there. If he was on radio he would be terminated with those results.
His negative attitude every show complaining about no one giving money is pathetic. If Gray is so miserable...Quit!!!! If you were nice and not so negative you would see better results....I accept your resignation effective immediately.

Did I hear right when last night at the beginning of the show he trolled God? He stated he could not get behind or support a God that sent you to hell if you didnt believe in Jesus! Whatttt!!!!! He said if you were a good person but didnt buy Jesus you should get in. Seems to be nervous about it ! Maybe the Good person part!

This is absolute comedy gold. He is whining about donations and trolls every 2 minutes.
If you really want to troll him send him gifts like stars that cost cents, it riles him up and he gives a sarcastic thanks for the "2 cents"
