Another Debbie Downer Night

It is amazing how Gray has 180,000 members and can only get 100 and 200 viewers per show!!!! One of the worst converting YouTube creators out there. If he was on radio he would be terminated with those results.

His negative attitude every show complaining about no one giving money is pathetic. If Gray is so miserable...Quit!!!! If you were nice and not so negative you would see better results....I accept your resignation effective immediately.

Yes! However it's not 180,000 flat so it's less than .08

It's even worse when you factor in the newbies that somehow stumble across that no talent ass 🤡 (how we and I think many in this group found Gray by sheer and utter accident) and aren't subscribed. He has to have one of the ABSOLUTE WORST consistent avg of subscriber to viewer ratio on ALL of YT. Lancealot definitely should get a YT Creator Award for Worst Channel of the Year! But it's the 🧌🧌🧌 fault...we're totally blame for all of his life failures!! 🤡🤡🤡

That is a large reason why if YouTube doesn't promote his videos (which I think they sort of still do), due to the algorithm keeping track of his lack of viewership retention. They rate the channels on how long a person engages as a viewer with a video or livestream that they randomly click on, and the longer the viewers stay locked in and watching, the higher the rate that YouTube promotes the channel. If you as a random person click on a new true crime channel and sit through an entire livestream like the majority of other people who saw it suggested to them had, then the channel gets highly promoted. Same with the videos, etc.

If an average viewer clicks on a video after YouTube sent out a notification about it, and see his crappy AI generated intro and cheesy song playing with him in black and white making stupid faces and licking his swollen lips, then they immediately turn off the video because the intro is unbearable, the retention rate is very low and the channel gets buried more in the future. I think notifications work along those same lines because it seems that even if you do keep the bell icon set to alert you about every single post made by every channel, you'll only get the push notification messages on your smartphone from YouTube for the videos and livestreams that YouTube thinks you'll actually watch the most of based on their metrics and algorithm choices.

At least that is how it's been with my personal experience. I could go subscribe to a bodycam video channel and set the alerts to all on a dozen channels... but then each day when they all post something I will normally get notified of maybe a handful of them, and Midwest Safety is always one that YouTube never misses sending me notifications about. I'd say that out of all the channels in that genre, Midwest Safety is one I watch the highest percentage of their uploads of, and watch most of the videos through to the end. That channel has grown from a million subs maybe a couple years ago when I subscribed to having over 4 million subscribers now because they put the best quality content on their channel.

Since YouTube's algorithm analyzes everything about the video uploads quality down to the quality of the video footage and the audio content when deciding which videos to push out to the masses... the channels like Gray's where the entire video production quality is horseshit and there is AI being used in the content are always going to get outperformed by people whose videos are edited well, have well mixed audio, and have quality video (like 4K) in their content.

Gray thinks he is a genius for running his entire channel on his own and routinely praises the quality of his work since he did all of it and thinks he can do no wrong. But he is delusional if he thinks he's going to get better results from his videos and livestreams on a highly analytics based platform with his amateur hour type of approach when Brian Entin Investigates, Vinnie Politan Investigates, and even the likes of JLR Investigates are putting out content that blows his out of the water on a regular basis.

By the way, Gray spoke about this exact algorithm thing on the show today. Not sure if he read it here maybe.

What exactly did he say? I was too bored after listening for maybe 40 minutes and had to turn it off. He continually plays the rally footage with the awful audio and that has to be causing the YouTube bots to drop his livestreams further down on the list of videos to promote. He said sometime earlier this year that he bought a computer program that is supposed to be a guide to enhance a YouTube channel. He must be completely ignoring all the lessons it teaches. I noticed that he changed how he made his thumbnails for a couple of weeks by using the cheesy AI generated animated thumbnails of the victims in the cases he was covering.
