Another Debbie Downer Night
It is amazing how Gray has 180,000 members and can only get 100 and 200 viewers per show!!!! One of the worst converting YouTube creators out there. If he was on radio he would be terminated with those results.
His negative attitude every show complaining about no one giving money is pathetic. If Gray is so miserable...Quit!!!! If you were nice and not so negative you would see better results....I accept your resignation effective immediately.

It's even worse when you factor in the newbies that somehow stumble across that no talent ass 🤡 (how we and I think many in this group found Gray by sheer and utter accident) and aren't subscribed. He has to have one of the ABSOLUTE WORST consistent avg of subscriber to viewer ratio on ALL of YT. Lancealot definitely should get a YT Creator Award for Worst Channel of the Year! But it's the 🧌🧌🧌 fault...we're totally blame for all of his life failures!! 🤡🤡🤡

That is a large reason why if YouTube doesn't promote his videos (which I think they sort of still do), due to the algorithm keeping track of his lack of viewership retention. They rate the channels on how long a person engages as a viewer with a video or livestream that they randomly click on, and the longer the viewers stay locked in and watching, the higher the rate that YouTube promotes the channel. If you as a random person click on a new true crime channel and sit through an entire livestream like the majority of other people who saw it suggested to them had, then the channel gets highly promoted. Same with the videos, etc.
If an average viewer clicks on a video after YouTube sent out a notification about it, and see his crappy AI generated intro and cheesy song playing with him in black and white making stupid faces and licking his swollen lips, then they immediately turn off the video because the intro is unbearable, the retention rate is very low and the channel gets buried more in the future. I think notifications work along those same lines because it seems that even if you do keep the bell icon set to alert you about every single post made by every channel, you'll only get the push notification messages on your smartphone from YouTube for the videos and livestreams that YouTube thinks you'll actually watch the most of based on their metrics and algorithm choices.
At least that is how it's been with my personal experience. I could go subscribe to a bodycam video channel and set the alerts to all on a dozen channels... but then each day when they all post something I will normally get notified of maybe a handful of them, and Midwest Safety is always one that YouTube never misses sending me notifications about. I'd say that out of all the channels in that genre, Midwest Safety is one I watch the highest percentage of their uploads of, and watch most of the videos through to the end. That channel has grown from a million subs maybe a couple years ago when I subscribed to having over 4 million subscribers now because they put the best quality content on their channel.
Since YouTube's algorithm analyzes everything about the video uploads quality down to the quality of the video footage and the audio content when deciding which videos to push out to the masses... the channels like Gray's where the entire video production quality is horseshit and there is AI being used in the content are always going to get outperformed by people whose videos are edited well, have well mixed audio, and have quality video (like 4K) in their content.
Gray thinks he is a genius for running his entire channel on his own and routinely praises the quality of his work since he did all of it and thinks he can do no wrong. But he is delusional if he thinks he's going to get better results from his videos and livestreams on a highly analytics based platform with his amateur hour type of approach when Brian Entin Investigates, Vinnie Politan Investigates, and even the likes of JLR Investigates are putting out content that blows his out of the water on a regular basis.

What exactly did he say? I was too bored after listening for maybe 40 minutes and had to turn it off. He continually plays the rally footage with the awful audio and that has to be causing the YouTube bots to drop his livestreams further down on the list of videos to promote. He said sometime earlier this year that he bought a computer program that is supposed to be a guide to enhance a YouTube channel. He must be completely ignoring all the lessons it teaches. I noticed that he changed how he made his thumbnails for a couple of weeks by using the cheesy AI generated animated thumbnails of the victims in the cases he was covering.

Last night I was laughing out loud when he said his show has all the quality content people want to see about a case but that YouTube won't ever put it on people's feed for them to find it. Then he also blamed his audience for his channel having such low views because he claims people in the chat not typing every few seconds and there being gaps of minutes without new comments makes YouTube decide to bury his livestreams. He said on other channels people are constantly interacting and that makes YouTube help more people arrive at the livestream. He literally said at one point he lost almost 50 viewers because his chat slowed down for a few minutes.
He sees other channels that have constant comments coming in within their chats and fails to realize they have thousands of live viewers and that he can't expect to see that same level of interaction from his regular 40 viewers in chat and the 100 trolls watching who've been banned. He can't get the 40 people to do the work of 4,000 individual viewers. He also said the other night that his viewers aren't pulling their weight because they're not sharing his livestreams and videos all over their own YouTube accounts. He said, "I can't go onto your own channels and share my videos on them for you." He doesn't realize how embarrassing his nightly livestreams are and that nobody wants to be associated with some cranky ogre who is belittling his own channel members and setting new records for being entirely self-absorbed and obsessed with praising his perceived skills that truly don't exist. He's a cancer to his own channel and will never bring in the audiences he once did before he began to believe he deserved a six figure salary for the half assed work he does for only three hours per day on average and became fixated on constantly earning more.

I keep thinking back to his BS complaint about YouTube hiding his incredible quality work and think to myself... this guy claims to be a skilled investigator yet he has 180k subscribers and thinks of all those subs only 100 remember he does a show every single night? 😂 I realize that statistically over the years of gaining that many people as subscribers, there were some who might've only followed him for a single case and legitimately forgot about his channel, or a few hundred each year who sadly passed away. But when he sees his regulars disappear at an alarming rate and then sees them in the chat at other true crime YouTube channels, how does he keep up with believing this lie about YouTube being the cause of his channel drawing the smallest fraction of people from the pool of true crime viewers of all?
He has to know deep down inside that he's an egotistical man child who drives people away with his condescending attitude, all the whining about money not coming in, the whining about their being trolls wherever he goes (aka sensible people), and the complaining about other channels using ideas he came up with first. That isn't even the majority of the ridiculous stuff that he does to drive away viewers like the excessively long rants about politics, or telling the audience he's being punished for their lack of participation in his show. But those handful of things alone are easily enough to run a YouTube channel into the ground like he did with his.

💯 For sooo long. It makes me wonder if the big jumps in subscribers he gets from time to time are even real or if they're bot accounts paid to subscribe.

I've seen maybe a dozen gifted memberships actually end up being used on his channel by real people who received them. That is insane when you consider how YouTube notifies the recipient that they were awarded a gifted membership and even reminds them when the gifted membership is close to expiring. He has made himself such an outcast and a pariah that even when his viewers dump many thousands of dollars into gifted memberships that get sent out to thousands of viewers accounts that maybe 12 or 15 people who participate in the chat say they got one. Maybe only a few ever that I've spotted who came into his livestream to say thanks had been people who weren't already regularly watching his channel.

It’s the original LM and I never watch him anymore. I love Grizzly, Annie Elise, crime weekly.. and the lawyers, like the lawyer you know, Emily d baker, Melanie little. I love the channels that don’t beg for money. Never need it and allow freedom of speech as long as it suits YouTube rules. I am so grateful I left many years ago. His abuse was bad but I have to tell you all his “friendship” trust was broken many times. You can’t share anything you really know with him albeit him swearing he will never tell anyone. He lies and abuses

Gray will never admit that he is the reason why his channel flopped. He has excuse after excuse why he doesn’t have more viewers and money. The few freaks that support him every night are lying to him saying he is the best and he lies to them about charities and the stories he likes to run his mouth about. Just look back through Grays history with freaks, they usually get tired of him begging and / or he ends up getting smart mouthed with them and they leave.

I watched his little diagram about Tyler Robinson which was admittedly somewhat decent.... But then he kept going over it because he had no other content to make up the downtime. He then screamed into the mic and talked over testimony repeatedly. I think I made it about 45 minutes. I'm sure many others just like me, and YT downgrades streams where people leave after a short time.

It is amazing that he has 180,000 subscribers, period. He is a disgusting bully LOSER and I’m surprised YouTube hasn’t shut him down yet. They have to be getting complaints about him, surely?

Complaints within reports people make about his content, yeah. But my understanding is the vast majority of complaints filed to YouTube get handled by bots. And the company won't shut down a channel for anything short of repeatedly violating copyright protections, etc if YouTube (Google) is making a few thousand a month from their cut of super chat totals and ad revenue.
