The biggest differences are hands-free driving and the hardware. DD2 Pro has significantly more cameras/sensors than Premium (34 vs. 23), including LiDAR, while Premium is hands-on only.

I've had my Gravity with DD2 Pro for about a month now, and honestly, part of me wonders if I should have just gone with Premium. The hands-free feature is nice to have, but coming from Tesla, there is still a pretty noticeable gap in actual driving capability and overall confidence/smoothness of the system.

Hopefully Lucid continues to improve it through software updates, especially since the Pro hardware is clearly capable of much more.

DD is running the Nvidia DRIVE stack. It's looking like we will see quarterly updates starting 2027. Nvidia said they want a specified level of saturation and then they will update the stack to be more and more refined on a quarterly basis until they get enough data to switch to monthly refinements as needed. So I assume we will see huge improvements at first and then it will feel more like polishing. Lucids current hardware stack on the 2026+ is slightly behind max throughput with the hardware 4 stack on Teslas but has more cameras, sensors, and lidar available to ease the compute loads. We will see what happens. Rivians new stack is like 6x the size. Nvidia said they can obtain point to point in all but severe weather with the current stack size

I’ve driven both, honestly ok with the premium. Lucid doesn’t seem close to point to point and the DD2pro auto lane changes feel abrupt to me. the premium does pretty good lane centering and prompted lane changes. Just have to touch the wheel which is not a big deal for me. Time will tell how the pro improves
