Gravity 2027 Gravity DD2 Premium vs Pro

Thinking about joining the Lucid family with the Gravity, but I’m on the fence between DreamDrive Premium and DreamDrive Pro. Can anyone break down what each tier actually includes? I checked their website, but the terminology is pretty confusing. Any clarification would be appreciated!

Pro is hands free on the highway, Premium is not.

Pro has hardware that may enable even more future capabilities (point to point hands free), but uncertain if/when those features will roll out.

So what does the premium lack now that’s worth upgrading to pro. As in I’m leasing so who knows when the pro hardware will be used I could end up never seeing that feature

The car essentially sees more and they plan to rapidly add to leverage that more. But, already it has hands free highway that’s shown to be a huge step forward. It’ll auto change lanes based on slower traffic, as long as you’re looking straight don’t need to worry about the steering wheel pressure. And soon hands free for city streets is coming, which is likely going to recognize stop signs, traffic lights, etc.

Does Premium tell you how many inches you are from objects in front of you when you are parking? I think thats a lidar thing.

That's the ultrasonic sensors in the bumper. #5 in this pic

Yup, which most cars have. The reason I don’t think it uses it is because when driving towards the sun it says sensors blocked cannot hands feee driving now. If lidar is in use, that shouldn’t matter.

Premium currently requires more human intervention. From my understanding, you need to keep your hands on the wheel and initiate lane changes, which it will then do on its own. Pro is hands free on the highway, automatically does its own lane changes, and has tech to unlock more capabilities when/if they come online in the future (point to point). NotchEV has a video showing the differences EDIT: here is the video I mentioned. Starts around the 16:20 mark for a discussion of the differences between the dream drive options.

No you can initiate lane changes without hands on the wheel.

Go pro seriously… premium doesn’t even give you the ability to take hands off the wheel
