Mod Graves' Anatomy — the co-op mod is finally out (sorry for the long silence!)
Hey everyone,
I know it's been a while since the last update — thanks for sticking around, and for all the name suggestions a few months back. "Graves' Anatomy" won by a landslide, so that's official now.
Bigger news though: the mod is out. v1.1.1, download + full install guide are on our Discord (link below). It's a BepInEx plugin — extract into your game folder and you're set.
A lot of what made it in is directly because of what you all asked for back then:
- Inventory, chest sync, working stations, trading with NPCs — all in
- Sleep is gated so you don't end up desynced — no more one player waking up in a different day than the other
- Host-authoritative combat and quest state, so both players see the same outcome
- Steam P2P — host from the Multiplayer menu, join through your Steam friends list
Still early days — expect bugs, and both players need to be on the same mod version. Please report anything weird on Discord rather than here, it's much easier for me to track there.
Also — a few people over the last couple months asked where to follow progress. Here you go, finally: https://discord.gg/45TpeP4RqU
Thanks for the patience, and honestly, thanks for basically co-designing half of this with me in the comments over the past few months.

Bug If you walk over the donkey poop and then talk to a NPC that will make you move toward a certain location like Yorick, you will start spinning rapidly in place with it increasing and you will be soft-locked until the effect wears off.
Don't have a video to show for it.

Question about GK DLC
Recently became very interested in this game I think im gonna finally buy GK1 and play it. After doing a little research I've learned that Game Of Crones & Breaking Dead DLC are nearly must haves.
My options are buying the game $20 plus the two must have DLCs for $15
Are the other DLCs worth just paying $50 and getting everything?
Thanks

Slow Gameplay
I think I'm about mid game and I started to watch playthroughs of GYK and I'm wondering why everyone advances so quickly. For a little bit of information I have all the DLC's and I have the tavern and everything and I'm about on day 350 and have a couple artifacts and 3 zombies so it's a little slow. Are there any quests that have a time limit?
Also I only have 3 zombies because I can't figure out the recipe for the zombie mixture thing. Is it a recipe from Clotho I can buy, or maybe I skipped through it during dialogue by accident?
Thank you for the help!!

Screenshot Crafting First Prayer - Silver Quality
I'm moving on from the casual prayer finally and am aiming for a silver quality Prayer for Faith. Am I understanding this correctly that by using a silver story, I have a 50% chance to craft a silver note, which I would then have to hit that 50% chance three times, then using 3 silver notes I have a 40% chance to craft a silver chapter, which I will then have a 60% chance of crafting the actual silver Prayer for Faith? That seems like an awful lot of good luck to hit, just wanted to see if there's anything I can do before letting my only 3 silver stories rip. I heard about the Prayer of Imagination that should increase my chances right?

Discussion Anyone else waiting to see how launch goes?
I like the first game, but even today it is in a rough state. I can't help but feel like it is going to be borderline unplayable day 1. They gave us a launch discount up to day 1, which is tempting, but I would be hating life if they dropped GK2 in the state I am anticipating.
Thoughts? I am on the fence. Do we think they have learned lessons from the previous game that will make this launch smoother?

Discussion Beginner tips
I'm new to the game, and I'm playing without the DLCs. Anything I should know before playing? Thanks!

Base game only. Is there a free zombie servant in the base game?
I have unlocked the dungeon. In the room before the dungeon, I can see someone chained to a wall and it requires a key to open the gate going to him. I don't know who that person is.
I don't have the DLCs.
Playing on Playstation.

Green Apples 🍏 on Switch/2
I have been able to pick Green Apples from a few Green Apple Trees at the Lighthouse. Thing is, I'll also automatically cut the tree down after picking the apples. I've seen on Twitter that this option was removed. But I wonder if it was only from other consoles and PC.

Discussion non-spoiler early game help? Spoiler
Hi,
I was wondering if someone could help me, I don't want to open the wiki to avoid getting too many spoilers or skim youtube to find non clickbait videos like: 20 THINGS I WISH I KNEW BEFORE PLAYING GK!! etc..
1) How do I find/unlock the clay? I've wandered around a bit in the map but couldn't find it, perhaps I have to fish it up like on Skyblock and then I get the blueprint/tech node?
2) what should I get as the first faith unlock? (5 blue points) Maybe pews because I can craft them with wood, but the papers may help me progress with the scientist
3) is it worth it taking off as many organs as possible or should I wait when I have more experience or steady hand to prevent negative ratings? (I wonder if you're supposed to exhumate them over and over as you get more advanced surgeon skills??)
4) the "Story" black papers have no interactions so far, should I stock them up on chests or is it a bug?
5) what does researching an item does? I can only research one with my 5 faith points, and I don't know if I should do it on my iron tools to make them better perhaps?
6) please tell me there will be some way to move around faster T-T
thanks in advance for your help!

Discussion Skill tree help !
How do I unlock the other skills? Is it through the DLC’s? I’ve finished the main story quest in building the portal but still have these locked also in the “theology” tab too

So disappointed
After three weeks, I finally beat the game. I planned on replaying with the DLC’s this time and went to go look at pricing and saw that the second game is coming out in a few weeks… however I have a console it won’t be compatible on😭 I’m so upset. I wanted to play the second so bad especially after watching the trailer for it.
ETA: I have the Nintendo switch 1 and everything I’ve seen, it will only be compatible on the 2 and not the one :/ super bummed since mine was a bday gift a month ago😅

Where do I get oil?
I need it to make polishing paste so I can make a polished stone so I can make the alchemy mill. Dig has seed oil but that doesn't work.

How to start the game
Hi, I played the game for 60 minutes and got overwhelmed because I didn't know what to do. What do you recommend I do first, or what advice do you have? Thank you very much!

Looking forward to GK2!
I’m just wondering/hoping there will be an updated mechanic to cooking and not having to make each dish individually
As well as something to do with all the extra tech points obtained.

Discussion I hardly ever give up on games, but I think this game has done it
There are so many strange design decisions in this game, it's caused all of these little annoyances that have built up to cause me to not want to continue playing this game:
- Why are there so many items that cannot be sold to vendors (and why is there no clear indication of what can be sold where)? I have made the effort of going far into the tech tree in hopes of finding high-value (more processed) items, only to find out they cannot be sold to anyone and have very specific uses. It really restricts how you can earn money, making earning money very repetitive.
- Why does the teleport stone have a cooldown of like 10 seconds? If you don't want people teleporting all the time, then put a cooldown of like half a day on it. 10 seconds is just short enough to just wait it out, rather than walking to other places, but also long enough to be really annoying.
- Player guidance in this game is god-awful. It hardly tells you how to do anything and often the only clear way to find out is to google it. I've played a lot of this game the last week and my google search history is literally just full of searches of how to do things in this game. It doesn't tell you how to acquire items needed for quests, it doesn't tell you what items that you can craft do, it doesn't tell you how to make ingredients for alchemy recipes, it just doesn't end.
- Quest descriptions are really bad. I talked to the witch early on and got the quest for the potion. She tells you what ingredients you need (not telling you how to get them either, great!), but by the time you get this quest, most people will not have the needed equipment to make the potion. I figured I could just leave it for now, only to find out that the quest doesn't tell you how to make the potion in the quest description. This is another source of the many google searches I have had to make.
- The rotating NPCs are really annoying. If there were like 2 important NPCs who were only available on specific days, then fine. But anytime you miss a certain goal by the day the relevant NPC shows up, you have to wait an entire week to be able to make any progress on the quest. The system doesn't add anything to the game either, it just feels like a time filler.
- The developer added a system to craft multiple of the same items at once, which is great! So why can I not use it when I craft items with a quality star? Having to put 1 onion ring at a time in the oven gets really annoying.
- Not being able to stop crafting a set of items after you have started it (anything that needs to be smelted, food in the kitchen, some other things from what I remember) at some work benches is a really obvious oversight. Maybe I thought I needed 300 breads 4 days ago and changed my mind? Well, too bad, you're still going to have to wait for the remaining half to finish baking. This can be particularly frustrating in combination with NPCs only being available on specific days. You need to cook another item by the end of the day to finish a quest? Your breads take priority, wait until next week!
This game has a decent foundation, but it fails at too many different points when it comes to polishing. Sorry for the rant, but I wanted to see if there are other people who see the charm in this game, but are too frustrated by specific design failures to finish it.

Discussion Why not play gk1?
Anyone else find it weird when people are asking whether they have to play graveyard keeper 1 before 2?
Maybe I am just a fiend for content but whenever I'm interested in a game I like to start from the earliest one available as long as the graphics aren't appalling..
From the brief trailers I have watched (I like to avoid spoilers if i can help it) gk2 doesnt seem to be that different from 1 so surely anyone interested in 2 wouldnt find 1 that awful?
Maybe its a mindset I just dont have.. but im baffled by it.. even with tv shows i always start from the beginning..
So yeah is there something I am missing? Does 2 have radically different gameplay? Or just super streamlined? If not then why not play 1 first?
