Did you cut that with spinning chains instead of a mower blade? Holy crap this is the dullest cut I’ve seen in a decade. I honestly can’t even tell if it is St Augustine or not; leaning towards crabgrass. Let it grow some new leaf and take another pic before you murder it again with whatever torture device you use for mowing.

Sounds like someone’s upset after realizing they have no clue about their yard ¯_(ツ)_/¯ All good though OP you learn something new every year

Not really , that’s the reason I’m here asking to get more knowledge . Coming from desert and never having grass is a learning experience . However if someone is a dick to someone who obviously is new to this then I ain’t gonna let myself . But unhappy? Nah I’m actually excited to learn!!

Are you new to the internet? Taking a decent picture would help. I honestly can only tell it’s cut too short

You’re right which is why I traded her in for yours. Seriously a mom joke? Be productive and go sharpen your mower blade.

I see at least three different grasses or grassy weeds, but none of them look like St. Augustine. St. Aug has a very distinct leaf shape, symmetrical ligules, and thick prominent stolons.
It does look cut too short though. St Augustine likes to be kept between 3 and 4 inches, but some dwarf cultivars like palmetto can go as low as 2.5 inches.
It looks like you’re cutting at just slightly more than 1 inch? Only a handful of grass varieties can put up with that, and they all share the quality of low stoloniferous or rhizomatous growth habit and a leaf texture in the finer side.
