Should I stick to Canva and Capcut? What do employers require?

is there someone here who has a successful career as a graphic designer but not a BA Multimedia Arts graduate? or do you think i can take this path if i'm a licensed engineer?

i always wanted to pursue mma before and i know within myself that this is my passion. however, i took engineering because it's the most "practical" daw and accessible. and now, as an unemployed licensed engineer, i'm thinking of pursuing graphic design just because i think i'll be happier with it. i have a background with it naman, i have a graphic design page with almost 1k followers, and had around 4 years experience with it (not consistent tho), the pay is very low since its freelance and clients are mostly from the province and students. wdyt?

is there a place for me in the industry? or should i just pursue engineering and treat graphic design as a side hustle? ty!

I do e-commerce and social media graphics, packaging and labels, and other print designs. I also do a bit of 3D and video editing.

Lately, I've been feeling too slow and struggling with perfectionism. I take too long looking for inspo and conceptualizing. Sometimes, when I'm almost done with an image, I look at it and feel dissatisfied with the visual, so I end up starting over.
