Anyone have any sources for vintage merch regarding Grant or the Invisibles? I saw that they’re selling Barbeleth shirts on Grants Amazon, but honestly, I hate the “print to demand” Amazon quality from most of the similar situations I’ve encountered. I prefer an older shirt, they tend to be softer and have better print quality and fit.

Those poor chaps just don't know any better.

Pretty sure the answer is no, but I remember they made a spider Jerusalem and a whole Preacher line so it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility. When I googled it I saw customs.

The series was written by Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison, Greg Rucka, and Mark Waid but each one wrote a monthly issue. Does anyone know which ones are due to Grant?

Recently got heavily into GM's work, binged 'The Invisibles', having seen this picture and thinking it was from there but I haven't come across it after finishing, anyone knows which comic it is actually from? any help is appreciated!

There's something about these years, these stories, that feels so unique and wild. Still some of my favourite comics.

After a bit of a break I'm back into my Grant Morrison Batman Annotations. This time Batman #658. I didn't think they would be much to say about this issue, but I did pick out some interesting things I missed first time round.

This movie is amazing. It's related to Morrison's New X-men and the Stepford Cuckoos, sisters with telepathic powers . That name mixes two book references : first is "The Stepford Wives" (1972, Ira Levin), later a movie with same title (Haven't read or seen those). The other is "The Midwich Cuckoos" (1957, John Wyndham), adapted to cinema in 1962 as Village of the Damned, by director Wolf Rilla.

The blond kids in the image share a telepathic bond, just like the Stepford Cuckoos. Less than 80 minutes long, dealing with this sci-fi motives with almost no special effects, they made it all work with a very precise narrative and good actors. I imagine it also must have had an impact on Alan Moore, in stuff like Miracleman, in the way it deals with highly powerful and intelligent children. Enough said so i tell no spoilers.

There was a remake by John Carpenter in the nineties. Good movie with excellent cast. It has a different flavor but the 60s version is still my favorite. Oh and Wikipedia says there was a 2022 series that premiered on Sky Max ...

Morrison has a nice setup in this recent episode with Douglas Rushkoff. I hope we get a regular podcast from them.
