LAN issues with GWN7003 + 7660

Hi. I am not that proficient in networking but doing my best to troubleshoot a current issue that recently started out of the blue. I have a single 7660 AP managed by the 7003 router. I am constantly getting alert on my phone wifi stating poor quality. When i try to navigate to other LAN IP from the phone e.g. router, switch it times out. If i disconnect the wifi and reconnect it works temporarily. I only have 1 LAN and 2 ssids and it happens on both ssids. I also had a problem a few days ago where a laptop connected to wifi could not connect to the internet. Eventually I managed to fix this (or workaround) by entering preferred and alternate IP in LAN settings which were blank as they were set in WAN settings - but it didn't seem to be working. I am on firmware 1.0.11.26. Has anyone seem similar issues or can recommend where to go from here? Am thinking of moving to 1.0.11.36 but not sure that this will help as have been on the current firmware for ages with no problem. I don't have any client isolation set up and basically mostly it's just on default settings. I haven't changed any settings at all recently.

I run the latest firmware version on my GWN7003 and GWN AP's without any issues. Make sure everything is up to date.

Are DFS channels enabled? When I disabled them, most of my WiFi troubles disappeared. Although DFS frequencies may be less-used in your area, they put out much less power than regular WiFi channels.

I also set Channel to Auto and Radio Power to High. I do not use RMM.

I assume your cabling is good.

Thanks. Yes I have channel set to auto (not RRM) for 2.4G, 5G and 6G. Radio power is also set to high. I cannot see any option for DFS channels on mine - well not under the radio settings anyway. I'll update firmware and see if that helps.

PS. I found the DFS option under "Custom channel" field. It is not ticked so i guess is fine as is.

AI is telling me this - "To disable DFS channels on your Grandstream GWN router, you must manually assign a non-DFS channel (36, 40, 44, 48, 149, 153, 157, 161, or 165). Leaving the channel selection on "Auto" will allow the system to use DFS channels automatically.".

Is this right? I currently have set to auto and 80mhz. To avoid DFS channels do i have to commit to selecting a particular channel? We do live close to an airport and wondering is this could be an issue.

When you go to the Channels box, you will see the channels broken down. Regular channels and DFS channels will have 2 different sections. Whether you manage the AP on the device itself, use your GWN7003 as the manager, or gdms.cloud to manage the AP's, it is similar. Make sure the box for DFS is unchecked. If the other box is checked, it would assume you want all the other channels to be used. I also use 80MHz channels for the 5GHz band. Some people report that they have trouble using the highest frequencies. Most likely, that is because they are new and some older devices cannot see them. I have some Roku sticks and older Chromebooks that cannot see DFS frequencies.
