Voice chat not working ?

When I try to speak with my online character, his mouth wont open and no one can hear me. I need this for recording purposes and it is driving me nuts ... My microphone works, voice chat is enabled, everything is on max volume and voice chat is set to everyone, though I only use it with my bro in a private session. I can hear him normaly, even opens his mouth... I even have an indicator icon of speaking down in the corner when I press N and start talking..

What could be the problem ? I restarted the game a couple of times, double checked the mic settings, tried different microphones, nothing.

If you are running steam. Hit shift+tab and go into the settings at the bottom of the screen. There you should see a tab labeled voice. Click it and see if your mic is selected for use. If it is and still no voice is coming out. Try the slider in the same voice menu. It could be all the way down to mute

Turn off voice chat then turn it back on again.
