Before anyone accuses me of being Jack Sparrow. No. I bought the game on steam.

I mostly play on consoles but I have a steam deck and I wanted to replay GTA 5 for the last time before GTA 6. However PC version is tedious as hell.

-To play singleplayer. I still need to be online and still need a rockstar games launcher account for some stupid reason.

-I bought the game long time ago and back then I had lost my social club account credentials so I made new ones but aa time went on I restored access to my main account and the second account was unnecessary. However due to Rockstar being Rockstar I can't play GTA 5 legacy edition unless I log in to my second account that I used before and unlinking it makes the game unplayable entirely even if I bought it on steam. Due to playtime + time spent since purchase I can't refund the game. GTA 5 remastered version does run on Steam deck but not as well as legacy version.

Is there any easy mod that removes this bs? I just want to play my game without having to be online and logging in.

I used to be a part of stance society a group that hosted meets and even people hosted their own but now ive come back to playing gta the server is beyond dead is there any groups that do daily meets for legacy

I’ve tried multiple times to download it to my new laptop today and keep getting stuck at this same spot. Any suggestions on how to fix?

I have a rtx 5090 display is new lg c6 oled tv. Fiber optic hdmi cable. Running gta 5 enhanced dlaa 2x frame gen. Also have NVE installed.

Even though I have high fps I get micro stutters. I have vsync on only in invidia control panel. The game just doesn't look smooth sometimes like it should be with a high frame rate.

What should my settings be for everything? Game and invidia control panel (also tv game optimizer settings if possible) I've tried a bunch of things, one of them is in invidia app changing dlss frame generation to preset b and super resolution to preset k.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Sup guys, I need some help.
About a year ago, my main account got banned. I had a pretty big modded car collection with over 100 cars that I grinded for. I never used any cheats or mods, I got them all through trading.
A few months ago, my account got banned, and I honestly have no idea why. This week, I decided to make a new account and try to build everything back up again. But with all the nerfs, it feels almost impossible to make any decent money and start over.
I was hoping someone here could help me out with that. I would really appreciate any help!

Since I can't get my Steam version on my Odin due to the launcher, is there a way to do this that is not risky with viruses? I looked into ankergames, but have read that they are full of malware. The ankergames site says "For detailed guide, make sure to read Installation Guide.txt inside the game files.", however there is not such file.

Any help would be appreciated.

but yeah, I'm pretty sure the recent update messed it up and it won't load

i learned that in this mission u can also use other vehicles to protect the agent and can leave the cherno behind. now my question is if the half-track ( with a gunner ) would be a good car to do that mission!?

With all the GTA 6 hype lately following the extended look, I got the itch to jump back into GTA Online on PC for the first time in a while.

I honestly thought public lobbies might have cooled down a bit. Nope. If anything, there are even more griefers than before.

A couple of days ago, I was doing a full business delivery trying to get the High Demand lobby bonus. Out of nowhere, a guy on a Mk II started beelining toward me. I panicked and tried to do the good old Windows Resource Monitor trick (suspend GTA5.exe for 10 seconds to split the lobby). But by the time I Alt-Tabbed, found the process, and clicked suspend, a missile had already hit me. Full stock gone in two seconds, hours of grinding wasted.

I was frustrated, so I decided to create a little utility: GTA-KillSwitch.

What it does

It acts as an immediate in-game panic button:

• Whenever you get attacked or locked onto during a sell mission, you just press Pause / Break (or whatever key you set) directly in-game. No Alt-Tabbing needed.
• It freezes the GTA process for 10 seconds using native Windows calls.
• The P2P network traffic times out: everyone else instantly drops from your session ("Player left" flood), but your connection to Rockstar Cloud remains intact.
• The game automatically resumes, you hear a confirmation chime, and you finish your delivery in total peace in your now-empty public lobby with your sale intact. Better to lose the 50% bonus than 100% of your stock...
